~The Friday before Christmas~

December 20, 2013
Hello lovely readers! We made it to Friday...but not just any Friday! This is the Friday before Christmas which means the one place you will not find me is near a mall or shopping center!!!

Once again linking up with  A. Liz AdventuresCarolina Charm & Hello Happiness! for their 5 on Friday!
Here are a few things that made my week just that much better!

This story about a Boston Marathon victim finding the love of his life from that terrible day!

I unfortunately do not have a photo from the birthday celebrations of this lovely lady...but we were able to have some birthday drinks in the midst of a winter storm on Tuesday!

One of the things that makes shopping for other people during the holidays harder is that it's undoubtedly the only time you find stuff for yourself!!! Banana Republic was having amazing sales this week and I picked up two pairs of pants for $30!!!

Online it's not that great, but in store both pants were less than $16!

I have seen so many wonderful ways to wrap presents from other bloggers and pinterest and next year I just have to step my game up!!

Gary and I took the two days leading up to NYE off! Which means time to relax and enjoy the day. I'm a sucker for the movies...I just love it! The best part will be going to see a movie during the day, when the theater is completely empty!! Hoping to see these two movies soon!

We have two holiday parties tomorrow night and of course a sushi date tonight!! Hope ya'll have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for reading!

  1. The wrapped gifts on Pinterest make me feel so inadequate that I shove everyone's presents in a gift bag.....at least I get coordinated tissue paper doesn't that help? The love story of the Bombing victim is the sweetest thing. They look so happy! Have a fabulous weekend!

  2. I tried to do all online shopping this year in order to NOT find stuff for myself when doing Christmas shopping. The two quick trips I ended up making to the mall? Yeah... you can't ignore stores that are entirely 40% off!

  3. Ooohh I love the pants!! I've been having the same problem with Christmas shopping...there's just too much pretty stuff to buy for myself!! :-) So glad you grabbed the "plated" coupon, let me know what you think of it!!

  5. Oh my gosh, BR pants for less than $16/pair? Pants from anywhere at that price is amazing! And now I'm craving sushi! Have a great weekend!

  6. I absolutely love that story you linked to - I heard about it on the radio too!!

And such an awesome deal on those pants... I will def. have to go there this weekend!!

  7. I can't WAIT to see both of those movies. I'm a big Leo fan so Wolf on Wall Street is top of my list!

  8. The story about the Boston bombing victim is amazing. Just shows the good that can come from the bad. It's so sweet! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
