A House of Cards Marathon Weekend

Hello hello and happy Monday!! Hopefully you all are enjoying a day off – if not – I hope you’re day goes by fast!! I thankfully have the day off and am thoroughly enjoying it!

This weekend was exactly what I had hoped for!! I mentioned we were going to have a low key Valentine’s dinner and night in.

The bright side to our favorite sushi restaurant – is that even on what could be the busiest day of the year – we’ll still get a table!! After dinner the binge on House of Cards started…very innocently at first and then you’re hooked!! If you watched the first episode of Season 2, you know what I’m talking about!

Wine for me, beer for the hubs and milano’s for the both of us!

We finished the entire season this weekend and it was totally worth it!! If you don’t watch it yet – START – you’ll love it!! Sometimes you feel a little guilty staying at home on a Saturday night – and then you realize…it’s freezing outside, there are remnants of a snow storm and you have the person you want to be with right by your side!

Before I make it sounds like we were couch potatoes all weekend – which there is nothing wrong with that!! Saturday we managed to sneak in a little shopping along with a heavenly couples massage!!

Remember in this post I mentioned some of my current favorite watches – well as fate works out – my watch went kaput a few weeks ago ~ right in time for a little early birthday present!

I knew Nordstrom Rack had a great selection and found this Michael Kors beauty there. You can’t really tell from the photo, but it’s a silver and rose gold mix. If you have a Rack nearby – head over because their selection of watches is great – there was a Burberry one that Gary had to pry out of my hands!!

I finished reading Revenge Wears Prada ~I’m not sure if other people are like this, but since I know who played the characters in the movie I can really visualize the scenes and it really helped the book flow. The chapters were a bit choppy in the sense that you’d finish one and then suddenly it’s two months later, one year later or even it will flash back out of nowhere. It’s a really fast moving book and I can definitely see it being made into a sequel….I HOPE!! I did not read the first book, but have read other Lauren Weisberger books and think this one is equally as good!! If you have a kindle – It’s still $2.99 on Amazon.

Back tomorrow with a fun “box” ~ Hope you guys had a very relaxing and wonderful weekend!!

xoxo,

Biana
