Five on Friday

"Success" indeed - made it to Friday!! While this most certainly was a short "work" week - it has been so long!! Here are five things that made this week worth it!

1//
I had dinner on Wednesday with three of my former co-workers at Sonsie. This has long been one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. Late night eats, drinks, brunch - you name it & this place does it well! In the summer the retractable front comes up and you can even brunch "outside"!! If you ever find yourself in Boston, highly suggest trying Sonsie out!

2//
I have been coveting this Burberry bag ever since I saw it at Saks a few months back...come to find out it's actually be discontinued and not even in outlets anymore. My only hope is eBay...lo and behold, I found the bag...authentic, NWT and everything...now I just have to justify it/not feel so guilty!

3//
I'm not even going to lie - when Gary travels for work, like he was doing this week (yep he was away for his birthday) - I eat like a child!! Full on fish sticks or chicken nuggets for dinner. I don't even know when I started to like them & I am fully aware that my parents did not feed me fish sticks as a child, but Trader Joe's has THE BEST fish sticks ever!!

4//
As mentioned previously, Tuesday was a particularly rough day at work. Coming in on Wednesday and seeing these pretty stems in  my office made me smile, feel appreciated and feel like I did my best!

5//
My teenage (and early 20's heart) was bursting with the news that Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf tied the knot (a.k.a. Adam Brody & Leighton Meester)
I'm not sure about any of you - but I was obsessed with The O.C. I really don't think there is anything on T.V. equivalent to it now…maybe real housewives haha…if they showed the lives of their children?!

Side note: I was watching Actor's Studio on Thursday night and Matthew McConaughey was on…he is absolutely hilarious and if you have the chance to watch it - totally should! To see a completely different side of him you HAVE to watch A Time to Kill? One of my all time favorite movies!!

And with that ~ Wishing you all a very happy Friday and weekend!

xoxo,
Biana

  9. I watched that Inside the Actors Studio last night when I couldn't sleep. He's really come a long way since Fool's Gold. Remember that horrible movie he did with Kate Hudson?! I secretly love fish sticks too but never buy them because they're bad for you. Glad to see TJ's has some decent ones! Have a great weekend!

  10. Visiting from the link up. I DVR'd that episode and am looking forward to watching it! I am glad he put back on weight from having to lose so much for his role in Dallas Buyer's Club. He did not look so well as a skeleton!

  13. LOVE this post.

    1. I have been wanting to try Sonsie, so I will take your recommendation :)
    2. I am a habitual Mac & Cheese eater when husband isn't home for dinner. No shame.
    3. The OC is one of the greatest shows. Ever. I occasionally throw some "real life" in there and watch the first 2 seasons of Laguna Beach, as well.

    Have a great weekend!

  14. OMG I love that Seth and Blair got married! I had no idea they were even dating. PS I also have the most random dinners when my husband is out of town! It's kind of glorious and sad at the same time. haha. Hope you have a good weekend Biana!

  20. This makes me want to watch the OC all over again! I wonder if it is on Netflix...? When Nick is gone I eat like crap, too! He was out of town last week and I had mozzarella sticks and PB&J for way too many meals haha. It's just nice to not have to worry about cooking! Happy Friday! :)

  21. I want to go to Boston so bad. That is my second city on my list of city's to go to besides NYC. The Burberry bag is very cute, but I can only imagine the price tag... what is it? $1,000? More? Ha. I would have no idea, I have never had one. I also miss the OC like crazy. Real Housewives fills the void, but just doesn't top it.

I hope you have a great weekend babe, xo!

  22. Love Sonsie in the summer. You totally NEED that bag! ;) A Time to Kill is such a good movie and Matthew all sweaty from the Southern heat. Yum! That was so nice someone left you flowers.

  24. LOVE that bag! You deserve it, go for it! I’m a bad influence, I know! When Michael’s gone at work I totally eat terrible! Grilled cheese, nachos, and frozen pizzas are just so much easier to cook for one person! Haha. Love those flowers you got! That is so sweet! Hopefully it made you feel better! :) Have a great weekend!

  26. Aww the flowers are so sweet and sometimes they really can make all the difference! That restaurant looks so cute! Boston is definitely near the top of places I'd like to visit! And YES SETH & BLAIR! Haha I agree about the OC-- the early seasons were so good!
