We celebrated my mom's 60th birthday a few weeks early, since my parents will be away on her actual birthday!! Any birthday is a pretty big deal - but 60, well thats a milestone!! We had a seriously delicious dinner at Mitchell's Fish Market. The freshest seafood ever and 18 locations across the U.S., hopefully there is one near you!
Sadly there are no bright and sunny photos to share because it rained both days we were there!
One of my only photos of the trip...
We're beyond blessed to have been able to see our grandmothers!! I can't even begin to speak to the hilarity of listening to women that have no filter, but can assure you there was no shortage of laughs.
~all my loot~
I packed pretty light for this trip for a few reasons, but the main one being that my mom told me she had bought me some great things - remember in this post when I said she was pretty much my personal shopper?! I mean - she is beyond the savviest buyer!!
On Saturday we had a pretty low key night because of an early morning flight! Perfect date night...Sushi and watched The Company Men. If you've never seen the movie - it portrays the 2008 crash of Wall Street through the eyes of three men and just how different it was for all of them. We probably liked it even more because it was filmed all over Boston!
February's squat challenge is going well and I made it to my three pure barre classes this past week!!
~early morning class~
In reading news, I've started reading Revenge Wears Prada and Lean In…can't wait to give reviews on both!!
Hope you have a great Monday!!
xoxo

I've been wanting to try pure barre for a while but we don't have a location here that offers those types of classes :( looks like a great weekend!

Happy Birthday to your mama! Great job making it to 3 barre classes!! I really loved Lean In... I would definitely say it changed my outlook on my career and my life. Hope you love it too!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how cute are your grandmas!! Lady talk (especially unfiltered) is like therapy for the soul. :-) Your momma needs to come help me shop - geez, you scored some major loot!!
ReplyDeleteDid she love her LV for her bday? Which one did you get her?
So glad you had a great trip. XO

Meet @ the Barre
Bummer it was so rainy while you were there! I could go for some sunshine and warm weather right about now! I could live off seafood but sadly, there isn't a Mitchell's in Chicago. They do have a few locations in Michigan so I'll have to check it out when I'm home! Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun!
