Monday Musings

Happy Monday!! Before I get into the weekend can we talk about "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding"???
TLC had a marathon on Sunday and you just can't stop watching…you get sucked in!! Honestly, I'm fine with their traditions and everything else they believe in…but the one thing I can't get over are their wedding dresses (if you can even call them that). These are just blinged out monstrosities…yikes!

I'm a huge fan of Trader Joe's and I made some of my favorite purchases this weekend! I plan on doing a full Trader Joe's favorite post, but this time around I got some goodies:
1// Organic Tomato Soup
2// Pita Crackers (these are so good!)
3// Vegetable Fried Rice
4// Think Thin bars
4// I like getting banana's at TJ's because they are so cheap at .19/each
5// Vanilla & Blueberries mini yogurt cups

I'm a huge fan of doing my own gel/shellac manicure. I'll treat myself if I have an event to go to but for regular manicures and in between maintenance I can handle it on my own. Target has a great nail section and I got a steal of a deal this weekend. I needed refills on the base and top coats and was able to get this for $3.76!!! It's sold at Ulta for $30.00 so to say I was happy would be an understatement!

Speaking of nails - does anyone have a good system for organizing? I have a  lot of polishes and currently keep them color coordinated in zip lock bags…not cutting it anymore. This is sort of what I thought of doing!

In keeping with the randomness that is this post…tomorrow is the start of a new month & that means another challenge! Anyone up for trying this 30 day Ab & Squat challenge with me?

Apologies for this being somewhat all over the place but I'll leave you with the biggest to-do we crossed off our weekend list…purchasing tickets to Europe!
We're headed to London & Paris in July…let the planning begin!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

xo,
Biana

  1. That fried rice looks soo good.. let me know how it is when you try it! Love the nail polish storage I could fit mine all in a little glass jar. I'm not that adventurous with nail colors. I only have a few colors that range from pale pink to bright pink a red and burgundy lol. There might be one lavender.. You and Gary are going to have the best time on your trip! Not that I've been, but I know you will : ) lol You'll have to take tons of pics! So exciting!

  2. There is so much amazingness going on in this post but first we (and by we I mean me) picked up that veggie fried rice and somebody (not me) wanted to get the shrimp one and it was terrible. How was the veggie one? I've only watched like 20 minutes of the show I couldn't do it but those dresses are insane for sure! I will totally do that challenge with you! I have all my polishes in a cabinet that is over my toilet area.....it works until I forget to put them inside the glass door and then they accidentally fall in....opps! YEAH!!!! I am so excited for your trip! Those are my two favorite places! Let the planning begin for sure! xoxoxo

  6. I just started that 30 day ab and squat challenge last Monday!! It's a killer! I'm so excited for your London/Paris trip in July!! Eeekk!! Can't wait to see pictures and hear all about it! I seriously have the worst nail polish storage... I can never find the one I'm looking for. Organizing would probably be a really smart idea!

  8. How exciting about your trip to Europe! I am so jealous - can't wait to hear all about the planning. As far as nail polish goes, I currently store mine in a big plastic Sterlite box I bought from Target. Until my vanity is finished, it seems to be working for me.

  12. Ahhhh woohoo for your Europe trip! So exciting!! Love me some TJ's and can't wait for your post on it! And I throw all of my nail polishes into a big Sephora bag so I'm not much help there haha. I feel like I've seen that same clear box at the Container Store.. I should probably pick one up, too!

  13. Europe, how FUN!!! We were supposed to be going this year but decided not to since we decided to move. I so wish we had Trader Joe's here!

  14. We rarely visit Trader Joe's, but I always see people posting about such good looking stuff from there, so I'm excited to see your haul! I just switched up my nail polish storage-- I had them all in an old shoe box, but switched it out for this clear plastic box-- similar to the photo you posted, but without the dividers-- I think it was actually supposed to be for shoes. I love it because it has a lid, and I can see what's inside-- only thing is I should have got another box :) I found them at home goods for like $8 or $9!

Ahhh so exciting to go to Europe! Visiting England is definitely at the top of my "places to see eventually" list!

  16. I've watched those wedding shows too and the dresses ARE blinged out and big to the max. HaHaHa I wish we had a Trader Joe's here. My aunt has one in Ohio that she loves. They have the coolest things! I love everything about London, Paris and Europe in general. You are so lucky! Have an awesome time. It's definitely something to look forward to. I hope to go one day.

  27. The hair on that bride... YOWZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we know where Jimmy Hoffa is!
I need to figure out a way to organize my polish better... it's just in a big Tupperware thing and it's a hot ass mess.

  29. Ooooo Europe?!? That will be so amazing!! My mum is from Scotland so I spent time over there a lot growing up and I just love it - think I would live there if possible, honestly :) Have you been before?? And UM those gypsy weddings are RIDICULOUS. Aaron and I got sucked into watching one night and couldn't stop - it was like watching a train wreck...a overly tanned, way too young to be married, immensely blinged-out train wreck.

  30. My Big fat American Gypsy wedding is definitely entertaining. And yeah those wedding dresses take wedding dresses to a whole new level!! We have a Trader Joe's a few blocks away, its great. My two favorite items there are the organic vanilla greek yogurt, and the reduced guilt chunky guacamole. Congrats on the London & Paris trip too!

  31. Oh my goodness! Europe?! I'm SO jealous! How amazing! Have fun planning!!! :) I've never watched the gypsy wedding show. By that picture, I can only imagine! Lol. All those goodies you got at TJ's sounds yummy! I don't think we have those stores anywhere around in MI! Bummer. I do something similar to that picture for organizing nail polish. Isn't it crazy how much nail polish a girl can have?! Haha! :)
