Boston Strong

Doesn’t feel right to post anything today that isn’t related to what happened to our city last year. It’s hard to believe that one year has gone by…it was a scary day for not only those involved but the country as a whole. We came together in a way that not many people thought we would or could – their attempt to break the people of Boston didn’t work!

One year ago I walked home from downtown Boston because I didn’t feel safe being on public transit. It was the first time in my life I was truly scared. I passed so many runners that weren’t able to cross the finish line trying to find their loved ones. Runners that trained for god only knows how long for this race – they raised money for charities near and dear to their hearts and I saw people giving jackets, cell phones & water to help them in any way they could. There were so many people hurt and injured and so much sadness of the lives that were lost…It goes without saying there were many hero’s that day – especially the first responders & civilians that rushed to help! It’s a day I really wont forget and no one in this city has.

Next Monday 36,000 runners will run in the 118th Boston Marathon (9,000 more than last year)!! I for one, can’t wait to see them all cross the finish line!

xo,

Biana
