Obviously this is how most of our Friday nights go!!
My favorite weekends are those spent exploring the city - we've lived in Boston for over four years, but still haven't seen everything!! We went to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and it's basically everything she collected throughout her life. You weren't allowed to take photos in the museum, but obviously I didn't know that and got my few photos of the beautiful garden.
In 1990, one of the most prolific heists from a museum took place when two thieves dressed as Boston Police Officers managed to steal 13 pieces of art that have never been recovered!!
It definitely inspired us to watch The Thomas Crown Affair on Saturday night!!
Paul Revere's house is in the North End and it's open to tour (something we still haven't done) but it's there!
We walked a ton on Sunday and it was hard not to want to be outside when it was 55 and sunny!! Trust me - it's like summer to us now haha! There is a downtown harbor walk that is about 1.5 miles and you can really take in all the sights of the harbor.
I attempted the cheddar biscuits from The Newlywed cookbook - honestly…I feel like they were missing something or I was expecting to have the cheddar bay biscuits from Red Lobster but they weren't as yummy as expected!
I mentioned last week needing a better storage option for my nail polishes. I found a good solution from Bed Bath & Beyond and got this bin for $2.99. It's clear like I wanted and a perfect fix!
My quotes for the week!

ReplyDeleteIt's such a different type of museum - each room is a different era of her life almost!! And the garden is most definitely the focal point!!
DeleteI am loving the quotes for the week-- so nice to start off with some inspiration :) One of the best things about living in a city that's kind of a vacation destination (not sure if that's the proper wording, but hopefully you know what I mean), is that there is always SO much to do and see! Those gardens looks so beautiful! And yay for new nail polish storage!
