Del Frisco's Grille + Liquid Art House

This past Saturday I was lucky enough to get invited to the Boston Blog & Tweet event at Del Frisco's Grille in Chestnut Hill. We have one other Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House in Boston located in the Seaport District and it definitely has more of the classic steak house vibe. However, Del Frisco's Grille is the perfect place for a date night, brunch before shopping or a catch up session with your girlfriends!
The location is easily accessible from the city or the burbs! The vibe is a much more relaxed upscale atmosphere vs. "old school" vibe at the steak house! The area of Chestnut Hill is growing tremendously fast as well, just in the past few months Wegmans, Dry Bar, Soul Cycle, Jonathan Adler & Intermix have all opened up!!
We were greeted with a tray of these signature cocktails. Many of you saw this on my Instagram and it's called the VIP! Sweet Hawaiian Pineapple-Infused Clementine Vodka, YUM!
Wild Mushroom Flatbread, Ahi Tacos & Jumbo Lump Crabcake
Filet Mignon 8 oz., Prime Beef Short Ribs,
12 oz. filet thinly sliced, delectable Lemon Doberge Cake Balls

Overall the food, service and location were all incredible!! Not pictured are the seriously amazing cheese steak egg rolls! Those babies were unreal!! I'm already looking forward to a date night so Gary and I can go try out more menu items!! If you don't live in Boston, don't worry, the grille has over 12 locations in the US and are expanding by month!!

Del Frisco's Grille is located at:
33 Boylston Street Suite 3370
Chestnut Hill, MA
Liquid Art House opened it's doors officially on May 6th, but on Monday I attended the pre-grand opening with my favorite Boston blogger, The Savvy Bostonian. This new restaurant is a brilliant marriage of food and art! I'm going to put it out there - this will be the new "IT" spot in Boston! A scene unlike any other we currently have- the art takes over and you are transported into a different world...but one that you can eat in!!
The current curated collection will run through June 17th and the art is available for purchase, which they will do with all their collections! As a bonus there will always be an on-site gallery curator to help with questions. I mean - on the off chance I'm ever in the market to buy a $1,000 piece of art, it's nice to know I have the option to speak with someone while dining!!
Rachel Klein, former chef at the Mandarin Oriental and Seaport Hotel sets the tone by merging Asian, German & French cuisines. While I can't speak to any of the food (we weren't able to sample any menu items), I think it's pretty cool that you can order an entire suckling pig or Rohan duck for your next family dinner - but I think you need 72 hours advance notice!
While I won't be ordering the roast anytime soon - I do plan on checking out their huge bar menu including cheddar branches & soft shell crab tacos. Both Jess & I agreed that Boston was in need of something like this and it's always great when a new restaurant opens it's doors.

Liquid Art House is located at:
100 Arlington Street
Boston, MA

Two completely different experiences, but I'm so excited to go back to both!! Have you ever been to a Del Frisco's Grille or a restaurant like Liquid Art House?

xo,
Biana

Disclosure: I was provided a complimentary lunch at Del Frisco's Grille, but all opinions are my own.

  15. You sold me on the Grille but the Outside In sounds fun too though I couldn't afford the art either. It would still be nice to enjoy the art while dining.

  17. As I sit here eating my Subway, I'm really wishing it would morph into those Ahi tacos. Hello, amazing food! Love the concept of the art restaurant, too. It reminds of a little place here, but much more upscale and chic.
