Nailed It | Spring Nail Looks

I have a confession to make – I’m a nail polish aficionado! Well maybe it’s more of an obsession with nail polishes and having my nails painted! I’ve added a couple new ones to my collection and thought I’d share the good along with some maintenance tips and new looks I’m attempting to try!

Porcelain Party//Lacey Lilac//Pink Works

Bikini So Teeny//Peachy//On The Same Paige

If I’m doing my nails myself I like to use Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardner as base coat and then two coats of the polish & followed by Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. No joke your nails are absolutely dry within two minutes after applying this top coat. Go ahead and put your jeans on, start doing the dishes or get to writing a letter because your nails are dry!!

As with anything, having someone else take care of the manicures is always nice and when I do opt for a regular mani instead of a shellac – I’ll bring the polish with me. Why?! Manicures don’t have the best lasting time for me – so when they start chipping, I’ll do quick touch ups at home to make the manicure last longer! Side note – if you have a great tip for making your manicure last, please let me know!! After about two days my nails start to chip!

These are just some of my favorite manicures from Pinterest

Let’s be honest – I can’t even attempt to do a design on my own nails, so those are reserved for either a girls night or a professional!!

Do you have any favorite polishes for the spring? Any tricks to make manicures last longer?!

Thank you so much for reading!!

xo,

Biana

okay that pinterest mani with the hair tie I'm obsessed but do you think that is painted on or like one of those jamberrys? It's just like so perfect and with glitter which we all know can be a little tricky right? Thanks so much for the introduction to that top coat it's seriously the best! I totally bring my polish to the salons….I mean they totally dilute their polish to last longer aka chip central a day later!

GIVE ME ALL THE NAIL POLISH! One of my weaknesses, for sure. I really like Essie and OPI but since they're expensive I usually only buy colors of theirs that are really unique. Other than them, I like Sally Hansen and Sinful Colors!

I heard that if you rub white vinegar or apple cider vinegar on your nails before you start your manicure will last longer. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm on it. My friend did it and hers were looking great on a Thursday and she did them on Sunday!!

We must totally be on the same wave length today with our nail polish posts, love it! I don't have any of the colors you mentioned, so I need to go shopping! I am loving that Revlon Peachy shade … It's calling my name!

Okay ma'am. I SERIOUSLY bought my first thing of essie nail polish yesterday. $8!!!!!! I don't usually buy polish (I get salon pedicures) so I had no idea that was the going rate. I hope it lives up to all its hype!!

Peachy looks so pretty! People make nail art look SO easy but anytime I try it, it ends up a disaster and I'm like whyyy didn't I just leave my nails alone! haha

Bikini so teeny is my favorite! And i love the good to go top coat because it dries so fast.

I should go buy that top coat. I finally became a big girl last weekend and got my first shellac mani. If this junk really lasts a full 2-3 weeks, I'll be shocked! I can't keep a normal mani past a couple of days.

I bought the new loreal gel kit and while it doesn't make the polish last any longer, it does help them dry instantly. It says to only use with their gel polishes, but I have been using the base and top coat with all my other polishes and it works like a charm!

Oh, I hear ya on the nail polish obsession. I love to switch it up every few days (literally ha). But because I change it so often, I probably don't get the chance to see how long it would actually last? Pass along on great tips though!

Oooh! I love that first polish design with the second color on an angle! Very unique! I'm terrible at picking out nail polish colors and I never ever paint my nails! Just my toes! I've used jamberry nail applications before and I really loved the easiness of those though! They stay on my toes for a good 5 weeks! πŸ™‚
