Trending Tuesday | Hostess Gifts

With the summer in full swing your social calendar is probably packed with showers, BBQ's and other fun parties. I was always taught to never show up empty handed to someone's house - regardless of if its a game night or formal get together! These gifts don't have to break the bank and are just really your way of thanking the host for inviting you to their home or party! Some of these require a little more forethought and planning and other's can be picked up the day of the party!

For the Girls Night: Stemless Wine Glasses; Votive Candles; Pretty Stationary
For the more formal dinner party: Some macaroons from a local bakery; Fresh flowers from the farmers market; another take on cards against humanity
For the BBQ or Foodie in your life: A variety of olive oils; a monogrammed cheese board; some quirky BBQ sauces

As most of you know TJ Maxx & Marshalls have a fantastic home goods sections and you can always pick little things up for a fraction of store prices! If you haven't checked out their stationary - run don't walk there NOW!! When in doubt a nice bottle of wine enclosed in a cute bag will always be a welcome party gift!

What's your go to gift for the host?

Linking up with these lovely ladies: Zelle, Katie, Kristina & Amanda  for #TrendingTuesday.

  1. LOVE these ideas! Marshalls does have a great selection. I always get the bus drivers and teachers little gifts each year. Those wine glasses are so pretty and summery. XO

  2. I am all about a good hostess gift. It's funny how few women [especially younger ladies] don't understand the concept of a hostess gift. I'm usually a flower, candle or wine girl, but I love the other ideas here. Great post lady.

  8. Love these ideas! Where I'm from people don't really do hostess gifts unless it's a bottle of wine or something like that. Love the sentiment though. I always bring a bottle of wine, but I might have to mix it up!

  12. I'm with you! It's always nice to show up with something-- even if it's small. And I have a little bit of a hoarding problem with stationary and greeting cards-- but they always have the best designs that are so inexpensive at Home Goods like you said!
