Weekending
This first weekend of summer was one for the books!! The weather cooperated and I even have a slight tan to prove it!
It's a given that on Friday night's we have sushi, but this Friday we decided to take it al fresco and eat at the cute park near our house!! Giving all the credit to Gary for taking dinner outside and helping us unwind for an hour sans social media and TV!
We had the Rock & Run Boston event on Saturday and I'm proud to say that with the exception of the monkey bars (absolutely no upper body strength here) I did all the obstacles. There were 11 obstacles across the 5K race and none were quite as hard as running up a five-story garage, strapping on a fireman's oxygen tank and running across the lot.
It must be a prerequisite for any race to have drinks after! The entire race - Gary and I kept saying "I can't believe we paid for this..." Post race we treated ourselves to some relaxation on the beach!
I am always so surprised how many beaches there are along the coast of Massachusetts. Happy to be able to start the summer off with a little tan!
I'm not one for outfit pictures but I happened to wear my white jeans on Saturday night and they stayed white! That's a win!!

We went to The Cottage Kitchen + Bar on Saturday night. It's in the Chestnut Hill Street shopping plaza and honestly never even knew it was a restaurant - always thought it was a Pottery Barn type store...apparently this happens a lot!
I had the Chopped Salad and seriously the whole grain mustard dressing made it amazing!! Instead of croutons they used crispy pita - so good!! When the manager found out it was our first time in the restaurant they offered to send us a dessert on the house. Donuts + Carmel = good thing I ran a race in the morning!!
Sunday I went to a good friend's "UP" themed bridal shower and her sister did an incredible job bringing the theme together - I mean just look at the cake! Sadly all my photos came out grainy so no photos of the bride-to-be!

And as they say in the movies - "That's a wrap!"

How was your weekend?
