Weekend Snaps

Welcome back lovelies!!! I feel like three day weekends just give you that refresh a normal weekend doesn't, don't you agree?!
Gary scooped me up from work on Friday and we took some reprieve from the heat at Dillons. Sweet tea flavored vodka with a dash of lemonade totally quenched my thirst!
~sorry for the grainy photo~
The city of Boston rescheduled the fireworks show for Thursday night because Hurricane Arthur was headed our way - so we had a front row view a few steps from our apartment!!
Since the weather was crappy on Friday - I took that as my opportunity to pack! Ten days and six pairs of shoes sounds about normal ~ right?!
What else do you do on a rainy 4th of July - you go to the movies!! We saw 22 Jump Street...funnier than the first! We ran into some friends in the movie and all went to Bar Louie after for some apps and drinks!! They just opened the Fenway location {a lot of locations throughout the country} and the BLT Flatbread was soooo good!!
Saturday was a dream - partly due to the weather - and partly because it wasn't Sunday yet!! We tried out James Hook & Co. which was voted best lobster roll in Boston last year!! It's a little lobster shanty that you wait for your food after your place order and then eat it at the tables they have set up outside! The roll itself was delicious!! So much lobster meat and not the other stuff - like mayo!!
The hunt for the perfect jean jacket is over and found at none other than H&M! It's not rigid like some of the others I tried on and actually is more fitted and not boxy- exactly what I was looking for!!
Sunday was spent soaking in some sun at a nearby lake we happened upon a few weeks back!!
Here are some more random snaps~
~American Flag hanging high at Rowes Wharf~
Taking my new baubles out for a spin!
Fresh grapes and La Croix for sustenance
The Public Garden

And just like that a holiday weekend is over and we're back to Monday!! Wishing you all a wonderful Monday!

Link up below to share your weekends!

  1. The Hurricane effect was a bummer but glad it gave you time to pack. Shoes are essential, you can never to many. ;) The weather was perfect the rest of the weekend so laying at the beach was perfect.

  20. I'm glad that you had a nice weekend! I'm jealous of that lobster roll!! I think that you're well prepared with all of those shoes. Although when I travel I usually bring just 2-3 pairs. :-) Make sure you save room if you buy something! ;-) Very cute denim jacket too, I still want one so I'll have to check out H&M here and see if they have one!

  48. My hubby and I watched 22 Jump Street last weekend and thought it was as good as the first one, too, which is such a rarity. Plus, Channing Tatum is a total babe, if not the best actor in the world.

P.S. We visited Boston a couple of years ago and loved it so much. This post reminded me why, and now I want to come back soon.
