Football Fashion

It's that time of the year - it's college football season!! Something that I've kept under wraps here on the blog is just how big of a sports fan I am, but not just any sports, college football! It just so happens that in a few short weeks, we're headed back to Florida to see my beloved Gators play in the Swamp!!!
While Orange & Blue is not necessarily the color combo that most people choose right of that bat - it grows on you after 4 years and soon you can't imagine a better combo!
Here we are 5 years after I graduated from college and I'm still rocking Orange and Blue!!

While I could certainly go the easy route and just sport a Gator T-Shirt, this being my first game back at the Swamp, I'd like to up my fashion game!  The key is staying comfy, but cute and if it rains, well all bets are off and I'll opt for the closest poncho I can find!

This Target dress may be sold out in stores, but eBay has them for half off and in the right color! And if that one doesn't work out this Charlotte Russe one is a close second, and on sale! Kendra Scott not only has stellar statement earrings, but she has entire Game Day Section and I am loving these! I'm still a little mad at myself for not keeping the House of Harlow bangle from my RocksBox, but nothing says Southern like a monogrammed necklace - and I happen to have one, but I really love this tortoise BaubleBar one. A little purse, some sandals to keep it casual and I'm good to go!

How do you like to stay comfortable while also looking cute at football games? Are you a fan of college football?

  5. I love college football but of course I have to rep my Scarlett and Gray for Ohio State colors. I like that you went outside the normal player jersey look. Very cute!

  9. What a fun and functional game day outfit. Love that maxi, super cute, lady.

I LOVE football!!! My college didn't have a team though, so I kind of just pick a team when it's on. I love me some football food, too! Happy Weds!

  10. While I despise the Gators (Go Vols!) I love you so it all works out to being friends right? lol. I used ot be way more caught up in the college rivalries, but since moving all over the country since gradutation (and going to UK now) I've lightened up a little. But you're right, I still rock that God awful orange everywhere I go haha

  19. I didn't know you were a Gators fan... Roll Tide ;)
I actually bought a gameday dress yesterday that you would love. I bought the Ivory and Crimson colored one, but they also make the dress in orange and blue. This isn't the boutique I bought the dress from, but a quick google search came up with several places selling it.

  20. I must admit I'm not a huge college football fan, I'll watch it but I don't enjoy it as much as NFL. Girl you look amazing in orange and blue... not me, no siree.

  21. I love your ability to rock the colors without looking ridiculous. My husband coaches for a team that is primarily orange with some black...and I absolutely HATE halloween (I know, the irony isn't lost on me). And is orange really ANYONE'S color? haha! I might have to take a few pages out of your book!

  22. Love your gameday outfit! Too cute! I've definitely already been thinking about my red and black combos for this fall (Wolfpack fan!) xo!

  23. I wasn't a college football fan until I met Scott and now I always find myself looking at gator shirts for the upcoming season. I didn't go to a school with a big football team like Florida so I didn't develop the love back then. But now im an honorary Gator and I love it. So lucky to get to go to the swamp! Love your game day style!

  28. Love that you're a fellow Gator fan!! :) I am trying to make it to a game this year, it will be different sporting around a bump though. haha. 48. Love your little collage! A cross body is my must have for football games. But get this- last year they implemented this rule at Panthers stadium that your bag can only be 4x6 inches (the size of a photo.. SO tiny) or you have to bring your stuff in a clear plastic bag. What IS that?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Love the outfit! And anyone who says that orange and blue isn't a perfect color combination is crazy! I may not be a Gator like you, but my university colors were also orange and blue and I love them so much that they were actually my wedding colors as well (talk about taking school colors to a new level... thankfully I met my husband in college so he was cool with the color choice as well!)!
