Favorites of the Week

This week flew by in a flash ~ 4 day weeks will do that to you! I'm happy that I shared my September goals with you all this week because it really forced me to be more conscious of making them happen - I've already been able to tick one off the list!
Linking up with Amanda to share my Friday Favorites!!
Favorite Song
I have a confession - I love Enrique Iglesias! Maybe it's that he's singing in Spanish- or perhaps it's the beat, but I just love this song! Plus, I've sort of missed Sean Paul and not understanding what he says!! Also, the full Spanish version is here

Favorite Recipe
It's no secret around these parts that I absolutely love risotto and every since tackling this recipe at home, I feel like I can now make different risottos - and Andy's is just the one I want to try!

Favorite New Site
I recently stumbled upon Rack It Up! The concept behind Rack It Up is pretty simple - you install a widget into your favorites bar and anytime you go to a retailer site and find an article of clothing that you're lusting over you simply add it to your virtual closet by clicking on the Rack It Up Widget.
The site will then alert you when your item in your size is on sale and available! Not only that, but you can list a maximum and minimum price you're willing to pay for the product, so they'll only send  an email alert if it fits your criteria!

Another feature of the site is their "Browse the Rack" option where you can add things to your virtual closet the same way you would on pinterest! P.S. - I am in no way being compensated, just thought it was a great way to save time instead of wondering when your favorite items go on sale!!

Favorite Pin
Stumbled upon this pin from a great DIY website!

Favorite Couple
These two lovebirds are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this Sunday!! My parents have known one another since they were in the 2nd grade. At 18, my dad went off to the navy where my parents wrote love letters to each other for 2 years! Once he was back - they wasted no time getting married! They've shared practically their entire lives with each other and I'm so grateful to have them role models for a what strong and successful marriage and partnership look like!!

  21. Sean Paul!! When was at Salve I used to listen to that Sean Paul "Get Busy" song all of the time in my car. I recently heard it and downloaded it... brings back memories haha. Anyways!! Congrats to your parents!! That is so sweet and romantic that they wrote love letters to each other too. My parents have been married for 45 years, these are definitely true examples of what marriage is all about. So sad about Joan Rivers too, the Fashion Police will never be the same. Have a fab weekend lady!! xo

  53. What a lovely couple your parents were! Such a bummer about Joan Rivers- I LOVE her spunk.

The truffle part always reminds me of chocolate so it sounds weird to think of rice and chocolate.... unless it's separate.
