Perfumania | Old, New & Craving

I have loved perfume for as long as I remember!! Even now when I visit my parents, I'll wear my mom's perfume because it makes me feel like I'm home, plus she has the good stuff!! With perfume being such a personal thing, I understand that my likes will not translate into your likes, but maybe we'll have some similarities! My current collection has four pretty different scents and I'm looking to add to this bunch, so recommendation welcome!

Dolce + Gabbana Light Blue: I've used this scent since I was a freshman in college (we won't go into when that was) and I never tire of the scent!! It's so feminine and I probably shouldn't wear it year round, but I do!! For as long as this perfume has been around it's still one of the best sellers at Sephora.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb: If you've never smelled this perfume before - run don't walk to Sephora and get a sample!! As the name suggests it's a floral fragrance, but not too overpowering! I love this scent so much that I have it in rollerball form as well for travelling and the gym!

Escada Ocean Lounge - I don't think this one is being sold anymore because the only links I can find are to eBay sellers!! Even so, this scent takes me to the islands. It's fruity and airy...so airy that the smell really only lasts for about an hour and then it sort of fades!! If you're interested I've found them at TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

Diesel Denim Collection: My sister bought this for me a few years back and at first I wasn't sure about the smell because it's a little woodsy for me, but I've grown to love it! You can't see but it's almost out! They have a men's cologne from this collection as well and it smells AH-MAY-ZING!!

As you can see two of the four will be all used up soon and just in time for the holidays!!! Here's a few that I've tried recently and loved!!

Gucci Guilty //$77

Tocca Simone // $68

Tory Burch // $85

I'm pretty new to the rollerball option, better late than never, and I actually prefer this when buying perfume for myself because the price is a little easier to handle!!

This is actually one of my favorites and very feminine!
Pink Sugar // $20

What scents are you loving lately? Have you tried any of the ones I'm loving? Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!

Linking up with Natalie and Annie!

  1. Ohh perfume is the best!! My dad always gives me perfume for Valentine's Day and it is my favorite! I love all of your scents, and I think Tory Burch smells amazing. My classic scent is Burberry London! You just can't go wrong with Burberry :)

  4. I love trying new perfumes! When I ran out of the Flowerbomb roller ball (great for traveling and trying to scents), I picked up the Tory Burch one to replace it and really liking it so far! I normally switch between Jo Malone and Joie’s scent for everyday wear.

  5. I still wear my Light Blue too! It totally reminds me of college and makes me happy. It's so clean and fresh, too! I also have Chloe and LOVE it so definitely get that! I have the rollerballs from Sephora and they're fantastic for traveling and super easy to use. I am a big fan of any Escada perfume too and the Tory one!

  6. I love how perfume can instantly take you back to a certain time in your life (like how I wore Gap's Dream alllll through high school). My typical fall-back is Marc Jacobs Daisy, and when I'm in the mood to splurge I slowly start working my way through the Atelier collection :)

  7. I haven't tried those but I love Fancy by Jessica Simpson and D'Anoche Ocean by Daisy Fuentes.

  8. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue is on my Christmas list - I always steal a few sprays from my mom when I'm at my parent's house! :) Other perfumes that I'm wanting are American Eagle's Vintage (I can't tell you how good it smells) and Fossil's new perfume for women. I've also heard great things about that Elizabeth & James fragrance.

  9. Oooooh I've loved Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue since college too! And I knew H was a keeper when he wore the men's version on our first date! I have been a sucker for all the Viva La Juicy scents, they released a new one for fall called Gold Couture.

  10. I need a new scent so badly! I've been wearing Burberry Brit since college :/ I have heard so many great things about the flower bomb fragrance! I may have to try it out in Sephora.

  11. Perfume has always caused my allergies to flare up and I become a sneezing, runny nose mess - it's so sad! I still often think about buying bottles though.. just because they're so pretty!!

  12. Flowerbomb is my ALL TIME favorite! It will always be in my perfume collection :)
Love D&G Light Blue too - just ran out earlier this year and thinking that one needs to be repurchased too! xx

  14. The only bottle of "high end" perfume I have is Gucci Guilty... And I should totally send it to you, because I seem to be allergic to all perfumes! I don't know what they mix them with, but I can't wear them, and actually can't even have my hubs where cologne because I'll start sneezing and get stuffy! I wish I could wear all these pretty perfumes and have the bottles lined up on my vanity.

Guess I'll have to be a granola munching hippie with my natural lavender spray over here ;)

  15. Light Blue smells so delicious, I say I'm gonna buy it every summer but I never do :/ And I'm with you on the rollerball, I just love being able to take it with me for a quick spritz throughout the day :) My current fave is Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh!

  16. I'm currently rotating between a Zara perfume I snagged in NYC and my all-time favorite, Dolce and Gabana L'eau The One. You should give that one a try!

  18. So many good choices! I keep meaning to smell Light Blue when I'm out- because it sounds like I would love it! I got one of the Tocca hand creams (in cleopatra) and have been really happy with it, so I would love to try one of their perfumes too! I got a sample of Nirvana, I think it was black, and I wasn't a fan because it was too vanilla-y-- how does the white one smell?

  19. I don't wear perfume enough! I always remember to put it on as soon as I'm in my car and then it's too late! I need to get some roller balls to keep in my purse. I love Jo Malone scents!

  23. I'm loving my new Tory Burch perfume. :-) Before I got that for my birthday, I had not worn perfume in years. I used to wear Romance from Ralph Lauren though. That Gucci Guilty does smell fab, and I think that I have a sample of that Burberry perfume. I haven't smelled it yet though. When I was growing up my mom wore this perfume from Barney's that they don't sell anymore. It was the best. I loved seeing her spritz some on while she would be rocking her skirt suit and heading off to work! :-)

  24. I love perfume too! My favorite scent that smells very me is Paris Hilton Can Can - I love how sweet it smells and how it isn't overpowering. Going to have to smell the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb!

  25. Light Blue is lovely, I love that citrusy scent. And as much as I don't care for the name, I really like Gucci's Guilty as well. Have you ever tried Carven's Le Parfum? It's lovely.

  28. Love D&G Light Blue and The One! I haven't tried any of the others you mentioned yet. My signature scent is the Coach Legacy. I always get compliments when I wear it and have for years. I also have Coach Poppy, Channel Chance and ummm embarrassingly enough a Britney Spears one that my husband just loves. I am almost out of most of them though and ready to try something new. There is a Jessica Simpson one that I want to try. And I had a sample of that Tory Burch one in a magazine I might look in to getting a bottle of it!

  38. I'm definitely starting to be more of a perfume wearer! I usually alternate depending on what I can find but I can tell that I am transitioning from the lighter scents to the muskier ones.

  39. Tocca Florence is one of my faves! Also, I love Jo Malone's Nectarine Blossom and Honey.

  40. i don't own one bottle of perfume. is that weird? however, i'm trying to find an essential oil that i like to use as an alternate to perfume....just trying to find the right scent without being too over-bearing is proving to be difficult since essential oils are really concentrated!

  41. My current fave is Dior Blooming Bouquet, LOVE it!

  42. I love Flower Bomb!!! All time faves! And anything by Philosophy in the Grace line cause I like the really clean scents the best!

  43. Try Si by Giorgio Armani......it is amazing! I love Flowerbomb too. I really don't wear a lot of perfume because of working with the little ones so a bottle lasts forever for me!

  48. I love Light Blue and Gucci Guilty too! I'm a,so mad about Chanl Coco Madamoiselle, Dolce by Dolce and Gabbana and the original Daisy by Marc Jacobs. They're in my rotation along with a few others that were signature scents when I was younger- oldies but goodies like J'adore Dior, Be Delicious DKNY and Cashmere by Calvin Klein.

  49. Gucci guilty is my favorite scent right now. I know a lot of people Love Flowerbomb, but I didn't like it when I smelled it. Maybe it was a bad bottle. :)

  51. I've worn the flower bomb a good bit and now I'm wearing a Chloe that my hubby gave me. I think I might put one of the Chanel's on my Christmas list. My Mom has one that I always love on her and now I can't remember which one it is!

  52. I love perfumes! I currently use YSL's Parisienne since my boyfriend loves it on me but I just discovered Elizabeth and James Nirvana and it smells so lovely. I got it as a sample from Sephora and can't wait to buy the full size version!

  53. I'm not really a huge perfume person — I'm a "buy a body spray from VS and then buy a different one when it runs out" type of person because I just never really developed a huge interest in different perfume. And because I'm lazy. BUT... There was a time where I wore Pink Sugar and I loved it! And Light Blue is just such a perfect scent, I can always recognize it when someone around me is wearing it :)

  54. I'm not a perfume person anymore but I did wear Flowerbomb and loved it! You're so informative, Biana! :)
