Weekend Happenings

It's always nice when there's an extra day to your weekend - getting things done that I would normally do on a Saturday were done of Friday and I was able to enjoy the rest of weekend!! Even though it's Monday, I'm sure we all could agree this short upcoming week makes this Monday that much more enjoyable!!
Friday night we enjoyed our usual sushi dinner and a movie. It was my turn to pick so I wanted to go the romantic comedy route - we watched And So It Goes with Michael Douglas & Diane Keaton. It was cute and I just love Diane Keaton - she's right up there with Meryl Streep for me!!
That night we also stumbled upon my latest obsession!! I'm not sure if you've heard of the show Reckless! The full first season is on Netflix and it's been hard to pry myself away. Quick synopsis...two good looking attorneys always finding themselves on opposite sides and it's based in one of my favorite cities, Charleston, you just can't go wrong!!
It was a little cold on Saturday, but we still took to the streets to explore and run some errands!!
Aside from the beautiful day take a peek at that squirrel packing it all in for the winter, so chubby!!
Before dinner on Saturday night, we stopped by our friends new condo and of course had to say hi to their sweet baby girl Koa!! She is seriously the cutest little pup I've ever seen!!
Flank Steak//Mac & Cheese//Turkey Burger//Eggplant Parmesan
(5 points if you have figure out which one I had!)
The South End Buttery did not disappoint-the food was delicious!! Any place that offers parmesan and garlic fries is a winner in my book!!
I happily decorated our tree on Sunday!! Yes it's the week of Thanksgiving, but we won't be here this coming weekend and I want to enjoy this season as much as possible!! We started collecting ornaments once we got married and I can't wait to see what the tree will look like 10 or 20 years from now!!
I recreated the Baked Mozzarella Chicken Rolls I mentioned on my post Friday and they were amazing!! Gary described it as lasagna but better and don't forget to beat the chicken because it makes it easy to roll up! I roasted some baby carrots to add to the side and just like that - best meal of the week!!
I made a few purchases and exchanges this weekend!! I went ahead and returned the Glam Glow mask just because the tingle was a little too much for me to handle and swapped it out for the Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm. I've used it a couple times and I'm really liking it so far!! We finally bought the ghost chair from Amazon this weekend!! They should be here on Wednesday and I can't wait...now I just need to find a cute pillow!!

And just like that we're back at Monday? How was your weekend? Link up with Meghan and I and let us know!! Hope you have a wonderful start to your week!!

  5. Fun Fact: The Charleston Police Dept. on Reckless is my old office. They were always filming while I worked. I can even see my door on the 2nd floor in the shots they show of it. I just started watching it the other week too. It's a little corny, but it's pretty fun to watch!

  18. Sounds like such a great weekend, I would love to decorate for Christmas! All of the Christmas decorations in Indonesia are so expensive-- like a 4' fake tree is $350.00 and a small box of plastic ornaments is $17.00 what?! It is crazy here.

  40. It sounds like you had a really good weekend! I can't wait until we start collecting ornaments and such. We are renting right now and hardly have room to store a lot of Christmas decorations.. so we just have a very small tree. It works, but I can't wait until we can personalize it more!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Aww, you and Gary look so great in those photos! Reckless sounds like my kind of show-Charleston is amazing! Also, Chris and I love to collect ornaments from our travels/everyday life. I love having a tree full of memories. :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. How cute is that puppy?!?!?! LOVE HIS FACE!
That food looks delish! Jeez - get in my belly!
And - my favorite thing about Christmas time last year was that we had just got engaged - and a couple great friends got us truly memorable engagement ornaments. Really made me smile. I can't wait to look at them! We get a real tree, so we don't put it up until mid December. His choice, not mine, I want an awesome faux tree. But - men have to win sometimes... Right?!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Ahhh I love the ghost chair!! And that chicken looks amazing, I'm excited to try it now that you have and it got the seal of approval! I love your ornaments! We each get a new ornament every year too, it's so fun to look back at all of them and the memories they represent!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'd bet you had the burger (just from the angle of the picture! haha!) My choice would have been the eggplant parm! Yum yum! I've been trying to convince my husband that it's time to put up the tree, but he's not having it yet! Haha! I love your ornaments! You will have quite the collection come 10-20 years!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I saw your sushi on instagram (stalker alert...) and immediately needed some. My husband just couldn't agree (he had food poisoning from sushi). Whomp Whomp. I love your ornaments, that is my favorite part of decorating, seeing all the memories from years past. Looks like a pretty dang good weekend Biana!

    ReplyDelete
  48. LOVE that ghost chair, missy! That chubby squirrel is just too cute, haha. Glad you had a good weekend! xx

    ReplyDelete
  49. oh my gosh all the food has me basically drooling. yum.
you're so lucky that you get to choose movies, KC and I rarely watch movies together but when we do they are compromises, something we both enjoy - I wont watch scary violent boy movies, and he won't watch romantic comedies. He will watch Pride & Prejudice sometimes (like once a year) because he recognises it's a good movie, but that's as good as I get haha.
Oh I just love the ornaments! We are the same, and I can't wait to see what our tree will look like in a few years with all the memories :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. We collect ornaments, too! Every year we buy one for each other, one for our family and one for Taylor. I actually bought one for the new kitten this year and it arrived broken. I had an out of body experience when I had to call the store to tell them that the Christmas ornament I ordered for my cat was chipped and I needed it replaced. I have officially turned into a weirdo! Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm going to have to check out "Reckless,"...you know, because I need ANOTHER show to be addicted to! We collect ornaments too! We've done it since we started dating...and while we were on our honeymoon (trying to figure out what we could take home for a souvenir), we decided to get an ornament to represent every trip we take together. I'm going to post them all at some point between now and Christmas. Love pulling out the memories as we decorate the tree.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh I love the ornament tradition - what a fun way to remember all of your precious years together!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Ahh I took Friday off too and got a lot done and was able to relax/have fun on Saturday. It was the best!
I ALSO just recently found Reckless and finished the entire season this weekend (I know I should be embarrassed lol!) SO good!

Koa is the sweetest looking pup, so happy to see that kind of cuteness on a Monday morning. Have a great week Biana (yay to it being a short one!)
