Thursday night my firm had their annual holiday party and this years theme was the carnival!! It was a lot of fun and one of the best parts was this caricature artist that created such a fun little piece to put up in our office!!
Being able to go to a brand new Target when there are maybe 30 people in the entire store is pure heaven!! Having the cutest shopping companion around is even better!!
We took it easy on Friday night and ordered take out and watched The Hundred-Foot Journey. It was seriously soooo good! I'm usually on my phone scrolling through pictures throughout the movie, but this one kept my attention the entire time!! Worth renting just because it makes you feel good after watching it!!
Since it was really dreary on Saturday we thought it was probably best to finish the rest of our Christmas shopping and this included stocking up on lots of wine!! Side note: if you've never had Barefoot's Prosecco, you're missing out!! Such good bubbly!! They were having a crazy good deal that if you bought 6 you'd get a $15 rebate and they were already half priced...I call that a win!!
I had my eye on a few things at MAC and I needed to replenish my Studio Fix powder I decided to pick up the pro long wear concealer since I've heard amazing things about it and after Carly raved about the brush cleaner I picked that up too! I'm embarrassed to say I don't clean my brushes nearly enough, but this cleaner is supposed to be an almost instant dry so I'm excited to let you know how it works!
That night we headed to my friend Stephanie's housewarming party and wouldn't you know we both had fur on our minds!!! I thought it was finally time to take this Chicwish vest out for a proper night out and I'm so happy I did!! I really love it and it even though it takes a little while to get use to it being bulky, but it's a great statement piece!!
There was also an extra large bear that Gary cozied up to!!
My favorite Sunday's are productive ones and this past Sunday was just that! I was able to finish all of our wrapping!! Made my way to Charles Street which has some of the cutest little stores in Boston, it also happens to be my favorite street in the city! Not pictured the intense deep clean of the apartment that also took place!!
Do you ever just crave some fast food, but don't want to put your body through the regret of eating it!! Well Sunday night we decided to make some Big Mac's and I used Natalie's version found here. These were delicious and so much better than the original!!
Now it's Monday so it's time to shake things up!! Hope you all have a wonderful start to your week and don't forget to link-up to share your weekends with us!

That caricature artist is such a fun party idea - y'all's turned out so cute! Loving that fur and YUM to those homemade big macs... I must try!
ReplyDeleteOmg I love that you guys made your own Big Macs! Way better than fast food. And loving your fur vest as well!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the fur, friend! My vest just arrived and I can't wait to wear it!
ReplyDeleteI loved Hundred Foot Journey!
ReplyDeleteYou're right. It just sucks you in and you don't even realize what is going on around you the length of the movie.
Your wine cart looks amazing! I am super impressed at that great deal!
Enjoy your week, and all that wine. :)
Ok, sounds like I need to rent Hundred Foot Journey soon! And loving your fur vest! So cute! I still need to find one... Not even going to lie, when you texted me the picture of that burger I thought for sure you guys were out at another awesome restaurant in Boston. Now I'm totally jealous you guys made those! They seriously look so delicious!! Happy Monday love!

ReplyDeleteYayyyyyy the Target is finally open! I'm shocked it wasn't mobbed, especially before Christmas.
First of all, I want that burger like right now! haha, and SUPER awesome about having extra vacation days--that is definitely NOT a bad problem to have, at all!!

ReplyDeleteI have some days I still need to get int. It's great taking off in December. Always useful to take time off & get ready for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteThat cart full of wine makes me all sorts of happy! You look so cute in the fur vest. I've been wanting to watch the Hundred Foot Journey, we were actually supposed to see it last night, but the kids went to bed too late and there was no way I would be able to stay awake during the movie! Those Big Mac's look awesome! I need to try that recipe!! Glad you had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend! Score on needing to take more vacation days! December is the perfect month for that, ha! I love work Christmas parties! It's my salon party is this week and I'm so excited! I may or may not be in desperate need of a girls night, HA! (This week is pretty sweet, I've got 2 girls nights planned PLUS a date with Eric... YESSSSS!)
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to watch Hundred Foot Journey! So glad you liked it!
I want to rent that movie! For the next one, get ‘Chef’ from Redbox. It’s SO good!! Glad to know I’m not the only one that has a hard time concentrating during movies. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice surprise about the extra vacation days! The caricature is so cute. I've never had one done before, but my boyfriend has and it turned out so funny! I really wanted to see The Hundred-Foot Journey when it was in theatre, but couldn't find anyone to go with (boo!). I should have just gone by myself. Definitely going to rent that one! Nice buy on the wine :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you had such an amazing weekend! You looked killer in that fur vest, girl! Thanks for the tip on that brand of Prosecco - one of my favorite holiday drinks is Prosecco mixed with pomegranate juice. Yum! And, hooray for Mac Pro Longwear concealer! You are absolutely going to love it - looking forward to your thoughts on the brush cleanser, too. Happy Monday! xo
