Friday Favorites | Long Weekend Ahead

It’s a pretty great Friday because we have a three-day weekend ahead!! It’s been quite the week and I for one could use an extra day to regroup!!! Linking up with Amanda and Liz for a few of my favorite things this week!!

Favorite Recipe

So while I realize that not everyone is a fan of Tofu, myself previously included, I stumbled upon this recipeand we tried it for dinner, but instead of noodles, we did a stir fry with rice and it was delicious!! Honestly I would have never guessed I was eating tofu!! For those wondering – Gary is a huge fan!!

Favorite New Show

My friend Erica has been telling me for the longest time that I needed to start watching Jane the Virgin on the CW…well the fact that it was on the CW sort of turned me off, but then Gina Rodriguez won best actress in a comedy series at the Golden Globes and I decided to start watching!! It is hilarious and set to be like a Telenovella! Give at least one episode a chance and you’ll be happy you did!!

Favorite Quote

via

I stumbled upon this quote earlier this week and just fell in love with it – does that ever happen to you!? You read something and it just really makes sense to you at that moment in your life?!

Favorite Outfits to Recreate

via

This week I opted to find looks that I could actually wear/pull off instead of finding a celebrity look that stood out!! Loved both of these looks mostly for a great date night outfit!

Lucky you, with the three day weekend. We don't get a day off until Memorial day, so I just take lots of vacay, haha!

I'm loving those outfits, lady. You have SUCH an eye for style! And thanks for the tips for packing a rolling back. Since I've gone to Texas and Ft Worth the past two weekends, I've been living in a carryon. New pacing tips always help, right?

    Happy weekend, fabulous friend!

I'm SO excited for the 3 day weekend as well! Time to relax or get things done, or a nice combo of both!
I'm super intrigued by your tofu recipe, especially if Gary liked it too! I may have to try it! I've totally stumbled across quotes that just resonate with me! Your outfit choices are super fabulous, just like you! Can't wait to see how you recreate them if you do! Have a great weekend girl!!

I love that feeling when something just clicks with something, I've had that with a book. Like I was supposed to see it, read it, know it, feel it. The 13 thoughts is hilarious! I've been working out at home to avoid the January rush.

Happy Friday!!! That recipe looks good but I don't know how I feel about the Tofu. I'm not a huge fan of it. The quote is so cute, I need to get cute things for my little cube at work. It's so bland. I am really starting to love the ripped jeans, I have been rockin' mine all the time since I got them from Express. Have a fantastic weekend πŸ™‚

You know, that was the main reason I didn't want to watch Jane the Virgin, either. The CW is not my first thought for great TV — I'll have to give it a chance. I'm glad you tried tofu! I am a meat-eater, but it adds a nice surprise to dinner. It just has to be flavored right and that recipe looks delish! Happy 3 day weekend!

Believe it or not, I really enjoy CW shows. Supernatural is one of my favorites, and I used to be really into Vampire Diaries until I lost cable and got Dish. I'm currently diving into Smallville because I never saw the full series. It's been so much fun. The music is all stuff from when I was in high school (Ex: Sum 41, Blink 82, etc.) I'm totally going to check the show you mentioned out once it comes out on DVD. πŸ™‚
