GlossyBox Review

I had been interested in getting a new monthly box subscription ever since I cancelled my BirchBox a few years ago. What I didn’t want was just a box full of sample sized items, which was the main reason I had cancelled BirchBox. After doing some research and seeing how much Mia loved her GlossyBox month after month I decided to add it to my Christmas wishlist. Thankfully, Santa a.k.a Gary gifted me a three month subscription and soon after I had more beauty products than I knew what to do with…let’s be real there is no such thing as too many beauty products!

GlossyBox Review

What makes GlossyBox stand out among the other monthly subscription boxes to me, is the size of the “samples” that you get, it’s not a sample size at all. Well the majority of the products are not sample sizes, some are travel size and some are full size items.

GlossyBox Review

For the most part I really loved every single product that I received. There was a shampoo that sort of fell flat for me (pun intended) and I felt like I had more facial cleansers than I needed, but I’m happy to have options. So the big question is will I be purchasing for another six months (they don’t offer the three month subscription any longer) and the answer is YES!! I plan on trying one more box to make sure it’s really something that I can continue to invest in.

My favorite products

GlossyBox Review

In my current skin care routine you may remember that I mentioned my obsession with a certain cleanser and toner, but with over 15 products over the last three months I have a few other products that are standouts to me!

Rituals Cosmetics Foaming Shower Gel//

I can really tell the difference when I use this shower gel versus others. The scent stays with you and it really makes my legs so much smoother than other shower gels!

Lollipops Eye Pencil//

I absolutely love this eyeliner – the formula is amazing and doesn’t smudge after a long day!

Toni & Guy Leave In Conditioner//

I don’t normally use a leave in conditioner and I think I’m converted!! My hair was so smooth and silky the next day and I noticed a difference with the amount of frizz that I had as well!

Bellapierre Cosmetics Lipstick//

This is the prettiest raspberry colored lipstick I’ve ever seen and it’s another great moisturizing lipstick added to my collection!

Rituals Cosmetics Miracle Hand Scrub//

I never knew I needed a hand scrub until I tried this one!!

I did a quick check and GlossyBox is part of Ebates and you get a straight $2.75 cash back!! So no percentage…just the cash!

Do you subscribe to any beauty boxes? What’s your favorite item to get?

These boxes look super fun!! That is awesome that you can purchase through ebates too. I've been ordering so much lately that sometimes when things get here it is like a surprise haha. I have Luke's bday coming up in April and I've been ordering supplies and of course some Spring clothes. lol Have a great day! xo

Why a fun subscription box! I love that the products are travel, size and that you actually use them. That raspberry lipstick looks amazing!! I am intrigued that you use ebates, I must know more!

Glossy box sounds awesome. I've yet to get a beauty box subscription, but this one sounds pretty fabulous. That lipstick shade looks amazing. Aren't hand scrubs the best? My best friend gave me one and I LOVED it this winter when my hands were so dry from the cold. Have a great day, friend!

Ok I think I definitely need to abandon Birchbox and switch to Glossybox!! That lipstick looks gorgeous! That color is perfect for spring and that eyeliner sounds amazing!

Yessss to hand scrubs! And that's got to be the best way to find one since you're getting options.

I am definitely one that had the Birchbox and it turned me off of subscription boxes. This looks like a great alternative and worth the investment! I subscribe to the Walmart beauty box, which may seem odd but it is only $5, ships quarterly and usually has really great travel size or full size items!

I haven't ever done one of the beauty boxes before either mainly because I didn't want a bunch of stuff that I'd never use. Or dinky sized trials that hardly seem worth the money. Glad to hear that the Glossybox was well worth it–I've seen your gems from your box and always been a little envious when you get those goodies πŸ™‚ The hand scrubs are amazing in the winter–I have one from Mary Kay and it makes my hands feel like silk!

I did glossybox for a few months a year or so ago but thought it was too similar to birchbox to justify the price difference. I might need to give this a try again though!

That was something that bothered me about BirchBox too… sooo many sample sizes! I did get a few things that were larger that I used for awhile, but overall, I ended up cancelling my subscription. That lip color in the GlossyBox is so pretty! May need to try this…

I've never subscribed to any of the beauty boxes, but I'm about to cancel Rocksbox so I may make the switch to Glossy. I love that they send larger sizes of the products, and they mix it up more than Birch Box. I was never that intrigued by Birch Box because the products were so small and when I'd see what other people got I'd usually only like one item in the shipment. But this looks amazing πŸ™‚

I swear I could spend every dollar I make on subscription boxes every month and be 100% happy with my life! They are so addicting! I cancelled by Birtchbox a while ago too – I just wasn't feeling like it was worth it to use a product a few times. I keep hearing great things about Glossy Box though so I may have to get it a try!

Love this post, as you already know from our discussion on Birchbox. What I also love that I'm seeing are cards with the product to describe it and how to use it! Birchbox gave you one card with about two sentences per item… Sometimes I was like "what the heck to I do with this?!"

well that sounds like a win! i could get a little crazy about subscription boxes so i choose to stay away. i know it's a slippery slope for me haha. but i love that these aren't sample sized! that's what i disliked about birch box too. and i know it sounds weird but i hated i HAD to buy the full size stuff on their site. i just want to get it on amazon dammit πŸ™‚

I am really behind the times when it comes to these box subscriptions. I feel like I've heard of glossy box but didn't really know what it was. I've been toying around with the idea of doing a beauty subscription box. My best friend receives Ipsy and loves it. However, after noticing some of the things she raves about, I find myself underwhelmed. She's just getting into makeup, whereas I have been devoted to trying out new products for years. From what I see, she's getting brands you can pick up at Ulta or Target. If you've ever researched Ipsy, or know someone who receives Ipsy, how does it compare to GlossyBox?

Oh interesting – this is the first I am hearing about Glossybox! I had gotten Birchbox as a gift a few years back and did enjoy it, but it wasn't something I was willing to spend my own money on because like you said you just end up with a million different trial sizes of stuff. I like that you get mostly full sizes with Glossybox, but it's also kind of risky if you end up with a bunch of full-sized stuff you don't like or wont use. But it sounds like it has been a success for you so far! Keep us posted!
