30 before 30

30 before 30
I know that I just shared my goals for the month yesterday, but this is a different type of goal list, more like a life list!!Since turning 28 in March I've realized that I need to get a few things checked off my life list before I hit the big 3-0!! As a lover of making lists it was clearly evident that I'd make one for this too!! Also I just wrote out "list" way too many times!

{See}

1. See Niagara Falls
2. Go to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket in the Summer
3. Travel to at least two new places a year (New Orleans & Del Ray Beach 2015; India & Dubai 2016; Nashville 2016)
4. Go on a girls only vacation with my best friends  (Charleston, August 2015)
5. Treat my sister to a trip, just the two of us (Delray Beach 2015)
6. Go to the symphony
7. Plan a surprise getaway for Gary
8. Go to a fashion show - preferably at NYFW  It wasn't Fashion Week, but I went to a fashion show for Beacon Hill Women's Society May 2016
9. Go to at least two concerts - I rarely ever see people in concert so this one might be tricky (Fresh kids of the 90s Sept 2016; Sia Oct 2016; Seven Lions Nov 2016)

{Try}

10. Try skiing again
11. Go on a hot air balloon ride
12. Take a sushi making class
13. Start playing tennis again
14. Apply for the Amazing Race (totally out there and I don't think we'd get chosen, but just to say I applied)
15. Do something different to my hair - maybe baylage or even a different cut, but something different
16. Attend a grand opening for something...a hotel, restaurant, etc.  Thankfully because of the blog I've gone to a few openings of restaurants and re-openings for hotels.

{Accomplish}

17. Buy a home - in our case probably a condo :)
18. Learn Photoshop and basic HTML Built and coded my website and wedding website
19. Learn to speak Spanish fluently - Gary and I want our future kids to be trilingual!
20. Have a growing client list for my thriving business - plan at least 5 weddings.  2 weddings in 2015; 2 weddings, 1 bridal pop up and 1 wedding blog feature in 2016; currently 1 wedding for 2017
21. Redesign B~Loved Boston exactly how I envision it  May 2016 completed and did by myself!
22. Host a dinner party Hosted friends as soon as we moved to our new place!
23. Pay it forward (buy a stranger lunch, coffee or anything)
24. Learn how to make macaroons - this probably involves getting a kitchen aide mixer :) - (Done December 2015)
25. Learn how to do a fun braid in my hair- something like this tutorial would be ideal - (Fishtail & side braid)
26. Learn how to ride a bike (I'm slightly embarrassed by this one)
27. Make an album from our trip to Europe (Seriously it's been almost a year since we went there) - Finally finished October 2015
28. Get a DSLR camera and actually know how to use it - Decided on a Samsung instead and love it - May 2015
29. Buy a classic trench coat - I've got my eye on this one from Ann Taylor since the Burberry one is probably out of reach! Picked one out during the #NSALE

30.Final to do before 30 - Celebrate my 30th somewhere fabulous!!

I've got 702 days to get moving on these!

Do you have a life list? What's one thing I should add to mine?

  1. What a great list, lady! I love how you broke everything down into sections, makes the 30 tasks look a lot more manageable. I think learning Spanish for your kids would be amazing. I grew up with a friend that was trilingual and was so jealous!

    I"ll be your macaroon taste tester ;)! Have a wonderful Wednesday, friend!

  2. What a great list, and they are all manageable to do! I am with you in wanting to learn Spanish fluently--I know enough to kinda get by but definitely not enough to sound intelligent lol. We can maybe learn together and then leave blog comments only in Spanish lol

  3. I love your list, Biana! I'll be 28 in September and want to make a list like this too! :)

  5. I never did a 30 before 30 list! I was weird, I felt like if I made a 30 before 30 list that I was kinda making it seem like my life was over at 30 so I never made one. But 30 definitely hasnt been bad. These are all definitely great goals though! I cant wait to see what you decide to do with your hair!

  6. This is such a unique list! I've been wanting to learn Spanish for such a long time (a couple college classes just didn't do the trick), so when you decide how you're going to approach meeting this goal, please let me know! I have no idea where to even start! Good luck with this! I think you will definitely be able to check these items off if you work hard at it-and I will love reading about all of these accomplishments :)

  7. You are one ambitious lady! Good luck checking them all off your must-do list before 30!

  9. Your kids being trilingual will be awesomness! I'm always jealous of those who are bilingual, it's an amazing thing to be able to communicate in more than one way especially while traveling. And YES to all the travel! We try to go to 2 new places each year as well, and if you go to a fashion show at NYFW take me with you please :-D

  10. Such a great list! Niagara Falls is a good one. I think Macaroons won't be too hard, you can totally do it. My girlfriends and I do an annual girls only trip and it's so much fun. Great way to reconnect and just have girl time.

  11. Well, you've got 2 years so I think you can do it!! Love this list- I'm with you on Nantucket, hot air balloon, and planning a surprise trip. Ryan has done that a few times for me and I can't wait to treat him one day (when I finally have a job of course!). xoxo

  12. I am turning 25 this August, but one of my lists to do is to run a marathon! I just started running recently so I have a long ways to go but I am giving myself until I turn 30 because let's be honest that is going to be hard!

  13. Love the pay it forward one. Hopefully we will both eventually become photography pros! lol I want to take a girls vaca real housewives style. lol (minus the dramatics) My advice definitely mention balayage if you try an ombre-ish look. Otherwise it doesn't look natural..I'm kind of glad to be back to my old boring hair and I am working on growing it longer so I can learn some cute braids!! I think your hair is perfect. xo

  14. Such a great list! I love Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, but Nantucket takes the lead for me. It’s gorgeous there!

  23. This is such a wonderful post! Knowing you, I'm sure you'll accomplish most, if not all, of these before you hit 30. It's always been on my moms bucket list to visit Martha's Vineyard, and my dad surprised her with a trip for this July! I'm ridiculously awkward on a bike, too, if that makes you feel any better. :)

  24. Well the girls trip with some besties will be checked off in August right? ;-) Fantastic list girl! I really want to learn Spanish as well. I got Rosetta Stone through my company and it really is amazing. Just need the time right? Fabulous list! Can't wait to follow you along as you check them all off!

  25. Great list girl!! A surprise getaway for the hubs sounds like so much fun! Don't dye your hair though. It's so pretty! Confession - I can't ride a bike either. We bought bikes a few years ago and I just couldn't get the hang of it and crashed. Fail. haha. How ridiculous right?!

    ReplyDelete
  26. LOVE this! I need to make one of these lists, too - mine would probably have so many of the same things! That trench is perfection, I was actually looking at them this week and was surprised to see they're sold out at most stores right now. I guess you need to get them early in the season!!

  27. What a great idea! I turned 28 at the beginning of this year and I could totally steal some things off your list ;)

  30. Love your list and goals lady!! 702 days, you better get moving! Haha. I agree with Brittany that you shouldn't dye your hair. It's so gorgeous. I like the ideas of the trips and don't worry about the bike thing. I did this Bike the Drive event here and I freaked out when I got on the bike. Because the last time I got on a bike I was a little girl. Oh and I would love to go to Martha's Vineyard and to NY Fashion Week too!! :-) Have a lovely day!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Great list! You must visit Niagara Falls! We live pretty close by and go every time overseas family visits. If you go, the Maid of the Mist is a must!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. That's quite a list for 702 days! I love the trilingual kids part. Henry starts preschool (like, pre-pre-school!) in June and they start them right away on Spanish. I hope he becomes bilingual! The trip with your sis sounds like a blast. I say go to Savannah, GA!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Great list! I applied to be on the Amazing Race with my friend a couple years ago! I wish they had picked us :-p Now I hope they pick y'all!! We want to learn Spanish too. In San Antonio, a ton of people speak Spanish so it'd really help. I need to do a list like this! But before 40 since I've already hit the 30 mark :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Great list!! You have beautiful hair, please do not dye it. Maybe just cut it. Seriously, I would kill to have that hair. I know you will accomplish everything on your list as you are a very focus and dedicated person.

  35. Love your list! I have always wanted to visit Nantucket. Love that you want your kids to be trilingual. I'd love for my kids to know Russian (and French), but my hubby took two years of Russian in college and decided languages weren't for him. lol

  45. This list rocks!

    As someone who's been to Niagara falls over ten times I can say it is definitely an experience you need to make happen. I would suggest staying on the Canadian side, since there is more to see and do. Plus Canadians are so chill! (;

    I think it's a beautiful thing to want your children to be trilingual. What other languages can you speak?

    ReplyDelete
  46. I really really wish I had done a 30 before 30...but now I am 31, and feel so old to have a "40 before 40" list...lol

    I just did a post that is similar, "21 Tips on Being 21" and would love for you and everyone to check it out. It really is versatile and would apply to just about anyone:):)
