30 before 30

30 before 30

I know that I just shared my goals for the month yesterday, but this is a different type of goal list, more like a life list!!Since turning 28 in March I’ve realized that I need to get a few things checked off my life list before I hit the big 3-0!! As a lover of making lists it was clearly evident that I’d make one for this too!! Also I just wrote out “list” way too many times!

{See}

1. See Niagara Falls

2. Go to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket in the Summer

3. Travel to at least two new places a year (New Orleans & Del Ray Beach 2015; India & Dubai 2016; Nashville 2016)

4. Go on a girls only vacation with my best friends  (Charleston, August 2015)

5. Treat my sister to a trip, just the two of us (Delray Beach 2015)

6. Go to the symphony

7. Plan a surprise getaway for Gary

8. Go to a fashion show – preferably at NYFW  It wasn’t Fashion Week, but I went to a fashion show for Beacon Hill Women’s Society May 2016

9. Go to at least two concerts – I rarely ever see people in concert so this one might be tricky (Fresh kids of the 90s Sept 2016; Sia Oct 2016; Seven Lions Nov 2016)

{Try}

10. Try skiing again

11. Go on a hot air balloon ride(Napa 2017)

12. Take a sushi making class

13. Start playing tennis again

14. Apply for the Amazing Race (totally out there and I don’t think we’d get chosen, but just to say I applied)

15. Do something different to my hair – maybe baylage or even a different cut, but something different (March 2017)

16. Attend a grand opening for something…a hotel, restaurant, etc.  Thankfully because of the blog I’ve gone to a few openings of restaurants and re-openings for hotels.

{Accomplish}

17. Buy a home – in our case probably a condo πŸ™‚ (June 2017, not really before 30, but in my 30th year!)

18. Learn Photoshop and basic HTML Built and coded my website and wedding website

19. Learn to speak Spanish fluently – Gary and I want our future kids to be trilingual!

20. Have a growing client list for my thriving business – plan at least 5 weddings.  2 weddings in 2015; 2 weddings, 1 bridal pop up and 1 wedding blog feature in 2016; currently 1 wedding for 2017

21. Redesign B~Loved Boston exactly how I envision it  May 2016 completed and did by myself!

22. Host a dinner party Hosted friends as soon as we moved to our new place!

23. Pay it forward (buy a stranger lunch, coffee or anything)

24. Learn how to make macaroons – this probably involves getting a kitchen aide mixer πŸ™‚(Done December 2015)

25. Learn how to do a fun braid in my hair- something like this tutorial would be ideal(Fishtail & side braid)

26. Learn how to ride a bike (I’m slightly embarrassed by this one) Learned how to do this in Santa Barbara March 2017

27. Make an album from our trip to Europe (Seriously it’s been almost a year since we went there)Finally finished October 2015

28. Get a DSLR camera and actually know how to use itDecided on a Samsung instead and love it – May 2015

29. Buy a classic trench coat – I’ve got my eye on this one from Ann Taylor since the Burberry one is probably out of reach! Picked one out during the #NSALE

30.Final to do before 30 – Celebrate my 30th somewhere fabulous!! Epic 30th birthday in NYC and then celebrated with a 2 week trip along the Pacific Coast Highway!

I’ve got 702 days to get moving on these!

Do you have a life list? What’s one thing I should add to mine?

    What a great list, lady! I love how you broke everything down into sections, makes the 30 tasks look a lot more manageable. I think learning Spanish for your kids would be amazing. I grew up with a friend that was trilingual and was so jealous!

    I"ll be your macaroon taste tester ;)! Have a wonderful Wednesday, friend!

    What a great list, and they are all manageable to do! I am with you in wanting to learn Spanish fluently–I know enough to kinda get by but definitely not enough to sound intelligent lol. We can maybe learn together and then leave blog comments only in Spanish lol

    I never did a 30 before 30 list! I was weird, I felt like if I made a 30 before 30 list that I was kinda making it seem like my life was over at 30 so I never made one. But 30 definitely hasnt been bad. These are all definitely great goals though! I cant wait to see what you decide to do with your hair!

    This is such a unique list! I've been wanting to learn Spanish for such a long time (a couple college classes just didn't do the trick), so when you decide how you're going to approach meeting this goal, please let me know! I have no idea where to even start! Good luck with this! I think you will definitely be able to check these items off if you work hard at it-and I will love reading about all of these accomplishments πŸ™‚

    Your kids being trilingual will be awesomness! I'm always jealous of those who are bilingual, it's an amazing thing to be able to communicate in more than one way especially while traveling. And YES to all the travel! We try to go to 2 new places each year as well, and if you go to a fashion show at NYFW take me with you please πŸ˜€

    Love the pay it forward one. Hopefully we will both eventually become photography pros! lol I want to take a girls vaca real housewives style. lol (minus the dramatics) My advice definitely mention balayage if you try an ombre-ish look. Otherwise it doesn't look natural..I'm kind of glad to be back to my old boring hair and I am working on growing it longer so I can learn some cute braids!! I think your hair is perfect. xo

I like the ideas of the trips and don't worry about the bike thing. I did this Bike the Drive event here and I freaked out when I got on the bike. This is an amazing list, I am sure it is a great feeling to have an extensive list like this on paper! I love all your goals under "see" and can't wait to see your business grow and prosper! I know you will do an AMAZING job! Xo, Stephanie

    Girl, I wish I followed/know you back in 2015 first of all and you NEED to take a sushi class! Greg and I went to one in Framingham (groupon) and it was so so much fun!

    I love this. I have just under 18 months before I turn 30, and think it's time I pull together a little list of things to do before the 3-0!
