Weekending + A Giveaway

Hello lovelies!! How was everyone’s weekend? This weekend we spent some time with friends, exploring the city and catching up on new + old movies!

Gary and I finally watched the Imitation Game on Friday night and it was really good!! Benedict Cumberbatch did such an excellent job playing the part and I have to say there was a lot more humor than either one of us was anticipating!

//I finally tried the side braid that I mentioned a few weeks back courtesy of Lauren Conrad

//We live in a city full of museums and took in the sights of the Mapparium. It’s a three story stained-glass globe that gives you a 3D view of the world in 1935, when it was originally built! Such a cool experience and worth it if you ever come visit! It’s also the only one of it’s kind in the world!

//It finally started to look like spring and while these may not compare to the cherry blossoms in D.C. it certainly gives me hope that warm weather is coming!

//I convinced Gary to see the Age of Adelaine and it was amazing! I seriously didn’t think I could like Blake Lively more, but she was so wonderful in the movie and makes me wish I had her wardrobe…and hair!

//Not pictured is the bingeathon we had watching Married At First Sight – thanks for getting me hooked Jen

//We had a lazy morning on Sunday at Tatte Bakery enjoying their pastries and the best latte’s in Boston. Yes – that good!

//Took the long way home and stumbled upon some gorgeous houses…has anyone else ever wanted a regal front door?!

// Ended the night with the fantastic dinner that Paige shared last week that I knew I’d make on Sunday and it didn’t disappoint!! If you want a light and easy meal definitely try it!

****************************************

And to get this week started on a great note – a giveaway!! Up for grabs is a $150 Nordstrom gift card, a Harrods tote bag from Marie’s recent travels abroad and a Lilly Pulitzer Pink beach towel from the LillyforTarget craze! So glad that the weather is starting to cooperate more up there–I've been loving seeing the cherry trees blooming too. It just makes everything look happier and brighter. I felt the same way about The Theory of Everything–wasn't expecting the funny parts either. Glad to hear that Age of Adeline is good–it looked like one that could either be amazing or really cheesy (I'm glad it wasn't the latter). And I'm the most excited that you are now on the Married at First Sight train! Can't wait to discuss!!!!
    Happy Monday!!

They are the best in the Summer when you just want everything off your face. Yes to regal doors! I really want to watch Married at First Sight! I had never heard of the Mapparium! That looks so neat! I would love to see something like that! I'm hoping to use my first upcoming weekend off in ages to Redbox The Imitation Game because I've heard nothing but amazing things!

We loved The Imitation Game. I really want to see The Age of Adeliane, but I'm not sure I could convince my husband to see it:)

We just watched Imitation Game too and it was SO good! Have you seen Theory of Everything? It was also really good and the actor was phenomenal! I can't wait til Age of Adeline is out here. I love Blake Lively, so if she's in it, I'll be watching it! Glad you had such a great weekend, lovie. xoxo

Good to hear you liked the movie. It's on our must watch list! Your braid looks great! I seriously need to work on my braiding skills.

I keep hearing about Married at First Sight, but I have no idea what it is or even what channel it's on. We still need to see The Imitation Game– sooo behind on movies (and TV shows) but we're making it a little bit further through Bloodline finally! Love your side braid and that museum looks incredible- what a cool space! I've been making a pasta salad with orzo and it's one of my new favorite pastas– so good, but light! Also, I can't wait to catch up on all of your other posts I've missed the past week or so!

Loved the braid on Instagram! I have the hardest time getting my fingers to work like that! I can't wait to see Age of Adeline. Looks like such a good movie. And yay for Spring blooms! Hope you're having a great week!
