Love/Hate Tag

You may have seen the Love/Hate tag floating around blogland and I’ve been tagged by a few great ladies including Amanda, Nikki, Claire & Andrea so it’s high time I participated!

Loves ||

1. Sushi!!! My husband jokes that he never in his life thought he would eat as much sushi as he has with me in the last 5 years!! It’s a weekly meal for me, usually on Friday and yes I realize that makes me super predictable!

2. Bags!! Big, small, tote, cross body – doesn’t matter I have a serious love affair with purses!

3. A glass of Relax Riesling on a Friday night

4. Exclamation points!! I use them all the time and don’t think I use periods unless I’m in a work setting and even then I have to force myself to use a period! (see exclamation point)

5. Office supplies – specifically pens and stationary. I don’t think I can say no to a great pen or a pretty notebook.

6. Travelling to a new place – there is something so fun about exploring and let’s be real having a break from reality.

7. Event planning – more specifically wedding planning! Being able to see my dream job come to life this year has been unbelievable!

8. Seeing my nieces and nephew grow up. Being so close to them is pretty special and they are at the age when hanging out with them is more than just babysitting – it’s actually listening to their thoughts and opinions and they are just so much fun!

9. Instagram– my husband once asked why I liked it so much and my only response was ” I just like looking at pretty things” the same can be said for Pinterest

10. Blogging! I never in my life thought that I would become so consumed (in a good way) with blogging, but here we are almost 2 years later and I don’t remember what it was like before I had this little space. The best plus has been all the amazing people I’ve been able to meet.

11. BONUS! I added this one in because I think it’s the best feeling! Having a really great workout – one that makes you want to workout more!

Hates (more so pet peeves than hate)||

1. Being late and more so when people are late to meet me! If I take the time to be on time, I expect that same from them.

2. People that don’t understand the proper etiquette when community on the train. This is especially evident when people don’t take their backpacks off on the train, don’t let other’s off before they try to get on the train and a slew of other things I could literally rant on and on about – oh and I did in this post

3. Leaving the house with the weather being absolutely perfect only to try to make it home in torrential downpours – this one is sort of on me because I should check the weather more carefully!

4. Chipped nails on me! I can’t stand having the tiniest of chips on my nails – I need to take all the polish off immediately – it’s honestly the strangest thing!

5. How much social media has infiltrated our lives to the point where I need to actually force myself to not reach for my phone at dinner!! I think I’m getting better at disconnecting at night, but still not to where I’d like to be.

6. When telemarketers call. I don’t think this needs further explanation.

7. Being so hungry that nothing sounds good. Does this happen to anyone else?

8. Clipping nails in public, specifically at work. I don’t know how anyone can think it’s appropriate to do this.

9. When a fork (or any utensil) scrapes the dish and makes a terrible sound that permeates through my entire body and gives me chills.

10. When the fire alarm in our apartment goes off. I go into panic mode and start waving pillows back and forth like a crazy woman!!

Do we have any of the same loves and hates in common? What are some quirky things you want to share?

Linking up with Annie

Hahaha I use exclamation points all the time too! Probably way too often! I realized yesterday I sent a work email that contained 4 sentences and no periods, whoops! Sorry but you know how I feel about sushi πŸ™‚ Ill let you eat all of the sushi for me! And yes to the fork on the plate sound! OMG horrible!

Love this! I'm completely obsessed with bags too! Whether it's from Target or Saks, I'm not discriminating. Traveling and a glass of wine are right up my alley…preferable together πŸ™‚ And yes, people who cannot wait for others to exit a train are beyond rude! Total pet peeve for me too! (I guess I like exclamation points too lol!)

I feel the exact same about chipped nails! Or when I get shellac and they start to grow out, I cannot stand to see that space near my cuticles. Have to take the polish off ASAP! Totally agree about sushi too… we are obsessed! We had a sushi bar at our wedding reception which was a huge hit!

I've never really had sushi so I can't say I love it or hate it. My sister and I were supposed to get some for my birthday but that fell through so she'll have to take me another time. I love exclamation points but want to be careful about not overusing them, especially at work too! Chipped nails are an immediate removal for me too. Forks on the plate, *shudder* and YES to Instagram and all the pretty things!

Yay B, you did it, so fun to read your loves and peeves!!! My favorite Riesling is Relax too! In fact I need to get some, drained the bottle last weekend. Lol. Oh I can hear that fork scrap now, yucky, my hurting ears!! Have a super day lovely lady!!

LOL you can count me in for exclamation points too, I can't get enough! My cousin asked me once why I use so many – I can't help it I'm a happy person, haha. And sushi and wine – you're my kind of girl. And yes about the utensil sound and the nail clipping – yuck!

I have to force myself not to use exclamation points in work correspondence because it's so unnatural for me! Relax reisling is my all time favorite too, it's making me thirsty just thinking about it at 6 AM lol.

Sushi, bags and wine……the perfect trifecta. Seriously why do people clip their nails in public? I saw someone doing their toenails on a plane once and the flight attendant actually moved me because she felt so bad that I was sitting next to that individual. So gross! On a lighter note. I love blogging as well!!! How else could I have met you?!?!?! I was thinking about our back in the day emailing and how Gary wasn't convinced I was a real person lol. The early years πŸ˜‰ xoxoxoxoxo

Gross to people clipping their nails in public!! I saw a lady do that on the bus once, so gross. On that note, I hate it when people don't follow bus or train etiquette as well. I have quite the list of pet peeves, which I guess means I should do this post some time too haha. I'm with you on the bags and traveling too. I love blogging too and I'm so happy that we have gotten to know each other. πŸ™‚

What a fun post!! I'd never seen this before. We share a lot of loves/hates. My number one dislike is being late or someone else being late. I make the point to be early to EVERYTHING. And I LOVE bags, obviously!

    June 25, 2015 / 1:22 pm

I'm totally the same with exclamation points. I over use them horribly and I hear my high school English teachers in the back of my mind yelling at me. (; You are so lucky your husband eats sushi. I want it all.the.time. My fiance, not so much. In fact he finds it disgusting. I feel you on the nails. I don't care how tired I am, I will stay up late to make sure I have perfect nails!

Rude people, late people and chips nails are some of my pet peeves! Even though I have a baby with another on the way, I'm always on time. Always. I always have been and always will be. There is NO excuse for tardiness, especially when you're wasting other people's time!

I am in love with pretty bags but actually having to wear them all the time? I'd rather carry nothing at all, ha ha! Maybe it's the freedom I feel when I don't have to take a bag packed full of diapers, wipes, snacks, etc, HA! I must admit, I'm NOT a sushi fan… which is crazy, I know! YES to the exclamation points… I have to hold myself back in blog posts, ha ha! I'm obsessed with Instagram, if it isn't obvious by my over posting πŸ˜‰
We have so many of the same pet peeves! Especially the chipped nails, it's why I started doing shellac!

This is such a great post! I can relate to SO many of these! I'm with you on the exclamation points. My husband was reading my post and was like "why do you have three exclamation points in a row?" haha I just can't help it πŸ™‚ And I can totally relate to being so hungry that nothing sounds good. I'm definitely with you on the train etiquette! I commute into the city in Chicago and there are so many things that irk me about it on a daily basis (e.g., people who listen to music/watch YouTube without headphones, put their belongings on the seat next to them so no one can sit down, leave the bathroom door open, etc.).
