Weekending Snaps

Happy Monday friends! It was another quiet weekend with a little excitement thrown in the middle! This weekend we...

Watched ||

With laid back and gloomy weekends comes lots of movie watching! Friday night we rented The Loft on Friday night and it was actually a really good thriller! McFarland USA was just the most perfect feel good movie to watch!! I always love the true athletic stories that Disney puts out and this was right up there with Remember the Titans!

Enjoyed||

I'm a huge fan of cider and it's as closed to beer as I'll get to drink! We headed to Bantam Cider's tasting room in Somerville on Saturday. They don't have much of a "tour" but their "flight" of tasting 5 different cider's is only $10 and the pours are very fair!! It was a fun way to spend an afternoon and who doesn't like sharing cider with friends?!

Ate||

After someone mentioned Bonefish Grill in their favorites last week, I had to make my way to one of the only locations in Massachusetts! As usual the bang bang shrimp was amazing and their lobster pizza was a nice change from my usual...but just wanted to share a little warning with you all! Gary ordered the pad thai which usually doesn't come with any type of nut and sadly they changed their menu recently and added macadamia nuts to a recipe that doesn't call for them - they also list them out on the menu so there was that! Gary had a slight allergic reaction, but since I know so many of you might frequent Bonefish beware of the new menu additions...all is good just not the ideal Saturday night we were hoping for!

Shopped||

I found the most perfect pair of jeans this weekend at Gap. The girlfriend jeans are just as great as the tight fitting skinnies, but have the relaxed feel of boyfriend jeans! They really are the perfect fit!

Prepared||

Sunday was a pretty gloomy day with on and off rain, but we were meeting with our newest bride and of course that brings enough light into any day! I also managed to sneak in a manicure and started to prep for the Summer and rest of the year with my new Bando planner!!

Hope you all have a wonderful start to your week and link up below to share your weekends with us!

  1. Sounds like you had a great weekend Biana - even in the gloomy weather.
    I haven't heard of McFarland USA before, but I love Disney sports films so I'll have to keep an eye out for it.
    Have a great week!!

  2. I love ciders too! So yummy! OMG how can Bonefish put nuts in something and not list it on their menu?!? That's horrible! I hope you guys got your meal comped for that one! So scary. Glad Gary is ok. Sounds like it was a great weekend other than that! Happy Monday girl!

  7. Mmmmm I love cider so a full tasting would be right up my alley. And a trip to Bonefish? Yes! We have plans to go there this week and I will definitely be partaking in that delicious bang bang shrimp again :)
    Love your planner! Hope you have a good Monday girl!

  8. I've been wanting to see McFarland! I'm glad to hear that it was good:) Yay for getting a manicure! That always makes any day better!:) Happy Monday!

  9. Poor Gary! That is usually my go to order at Bonefish! Hope he is feeling better. I watched Macfarland on the way back from Greece such a good movie. Yes to cider. I tried one for the first time this weekend and I always said no to them because I thought they would have too much sugar but it was so good. Yeah for bride meetings!! That planner btw is perfection! Looks like a great weekend! xoxo ~Amanda Amanda ~ Meet @ the Barre Bloomingdales Summer Sale Picks

  10. We watched The Loft too! I was annoying my husband with "I think I know who it is!" I thought it was their wives! LOL

  11. Cider is as close as I'll get too, so that sounds like a great tasting event for me too!! Now I want to see McFarland for sure. Sounds like a fabulous weekend minus the menu change, hope he's feeling better!

  12. You'd think with nut allergies they would be more careful about stuff like that! I hope Gray is feeling better. We saw The Loft in theaters and we really, really liked it! I'll have to let Nathan know it's out on DVD. Hope you had a great meeting with your newest bride! It sounds like business is booming! Congrats!!

  13. Those jeans look PERFECT! I've been on the hunt for something like that so I'll have to pop into Gap at some point. Loving your new planner! I saw that when I went to go buy my Simplified Planner and thought it was so cute!

  14. So glad you made your way to Bonefish Grill!!! Gotta love the Bang Bang Shrimp :) The Cider tasting looks like so much fun!! I've been wanting to see McFarland USA but our closest Redbox is always sold out!!

  15. Both movies sound good. What a scary thing with the allergic reaction. Glad he is okay. The rain was a bummer but a nice excuse for a lazy day.

  16. Looks like such a fun weekend! (Aside from the allergic reaction--glad he is ok!) Love that planner too!

  17. Oh no I hope the allergic reaction wasn't too bad! I'm going to have to check out those pants. I have always loved Gap pants but haven't had a chance to try these!

  18. You remind me that it has been forever since I have seen Remember the Titans! Your new jeans look super cute and I would be all over a cider tasting!!! Cider is by far my favorite over beer and wine. Bang bang shrimp is what dreams are made of, it just sucks that they had to add nuts to Gary's usual dish. I hate when a place like that changes up a staple. You don't really pay attention to this things when you are ordering, because you know what you want. At least he is ok. Hope you have a great week!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. How fun! (except for the allergic reaction) I just got a gift certificate to go to the bonefish grill, I've heard great things, and that shrimp looks incredible

  20. That cider tasting looks like so much fun! And glad Gary is ok, adding an ingredient that a lot of people are allergic to is not a great idea and then not making note of it on the menu is definitely not ok! I hope they made up for it ;-)

    Have a fabulous week <3

  21. OMG that food looks amazingggg! Love Bone Fish! I have been wanting to see The Loft but was nervous it wouldnt be any good since I havent heard any reviews on it! Definitely have to see it now that you liked it! Happy Monday!

  25. I'm so glad to know that other people aren't beer drinkers - but I'm with you, I can handle ciders. You always find the prettiest graphics. How do you do that?

  26. Haha, I found the perfect pair of distressed denim maternity shorts at the Gap this weekend! Do you also find that their sizes run HUGE? Love your Monday sprinkles post... I just pinned someone with a funfetti donut recipe and now all I can think about is sprinkles!

  27. Sounds like a great weekend! I'll be sure to add those two movies to our list - we've been very into thrillers lately (which, by the way, thanks for The Fall recommendations - LOVED it!). I'm so jealous of your cider tasting - that's as close to beer as I get, too, so I bet all the varieties were delicious. Hooray for a new bride, too! :) Happy Monday, girl!

  28. Happy Monday hunn! I've been wanting to watch McFarland USA! I'm with ya on that one - anything that's a true story I'm a huge fan of!

  29. Your sprinkles made my morning today and that food looks amazing!!!!

  30. A cider tasting sounds so fun! Macadamia nuts in pad thai, really? Someone was trying to get fancy. I hope Gary is feeling better now, there is nothing more unpleasant than having an allergic reaction to your dinner in a restaurant. Especially if they are silly added ingredients, like walnuts in a rabbit pot pie. On happier notes, that planner is just too cute! Hope you have a great Monday!

  31. So sorry about Gary's reaction my kids have nut allergies so I know how much it sucks! Other than that great weekend... And now I'm craving bang bang shrimp!

  32. So sorry about Gary's allergic reaction. :-( You know I can relate since I've told you that Chris has quite a few food allergies. Despite that, all of that food looks pretty good. I'm also not a cider fan, I prefer beer but that sounds like a lot of fun!! :-) Your planner is so cute and I'm glad that you had a fun time wedding planning with your latest client. :-)

    I'm really on the hunt for new jeans. My fav, I just saw is wearing a hole in my thighs where they rub - haha ... they lasted about 3 years so I guess I cant complain, but now, DANG IT - I gotta find a new pair I like again.

  77. I LOVE Bonefish and you totally just reminded me how long it's been since we've gone there. I am so sorry about your husbands allergic reaction! Personally I don't suffer from any food allergy, so I can't even begin to understand how stressful that must be.

    I really want to see the Loft, but no one was talking about it. I'll totally check it out. (:

    I too am a cider beer type of gal. What can I say, it's "fall in a glass."

  78. I'm now craving some bang bang shrimp! So glad Gary was okay even after eating the nuts-- that's always so scary when stuff like that happens! What do you think of the planner?? I really like the floral print one of the version you got. I always wait to long and then the one I want sells out, so I need to decide soon. I wasn't so sure about Macfarland USA, but you had me at comparing it to Remember The Titans :)
