Tips And Tricks To Make Blogging Easier

We all know there isn’t quite enough time in the day to get everything we need to get done, especially when it comes to blogging. Since it’s not my full time job, I’ve found a few things that have helped make my time blogging more efficient – aside from the obvious ones like following blogs I read daily on Bloglovin and GFC, these are some tricks I’ve started to master in the last few months!

1// Link to your blog with HTML code when commenting on other blogs.

I learned this fromPeaches in a Podat the start of the year. You paste in the below code changing out the highlighted portion to your blog URL and then paste it in with every comment you leave instead of typing out your web address.

<a href=”http://www.blovedboston.com” title=”BlovedBoston”>BlovedBoston</a>

I have this saved on my work and home computers as well as my iPad in a little note. Such a time saver & it directly links to your blog when it’s clicked on – instead of people having to go through your blogger page!

2// BeFunky& PicMonkey

Amanda introduced me to BeFunky, but PicMonkey has been all the rage for everyone in blogging. These are the two programs I use to make collages and edit my photos – it’s easy to use, very intuitive and best of all FREE!! Who doesn’t love that!

3// FotoJet

I just recently found this FREE online program called FotoJet. You know those pretty layouts I do for my favorite links – well it’s through this program. I love how clean it makes the layout look and it really does look professional – and again so easy to use! You can make just about any type of collage on there!

4// Hashtags in your notes.

This is one I recently started doing for my Instagram posts. Hate it or love it – hashtags get your pictures noticed on Instagram and certain ones work really well for twitter too. I like to post at most 4 hashtags with the blurb about my photo and in the first comment I’ll have all the other relevant hashtags listed. I know there are a lot of people that don’t like this method, but I will say that it’s how people that aren’t following you can find your photos and you can also find other people with similar interests on Instagram.

I have them split into three different categories (pretty things, food & fashion) and having them saved in your notes on your phone is such a time saver!

5// Keyboard for iPad mini

This is a very recent purchase for me and one that I’m thrilled with. I have been using my iPad for a lot of blogging related things like writing posts, responding to emails and even commenting on blogs. With all that it was getting hard to just type away on the screen so I purchased this bluetooth keyboard case.

I love that the keyboard can be removed from the case and you can just carry your iPad so it’s not bulky, but overall it didn’t add much weight to my bag and I don’t have to lug my laptop with me either!

These are just a few things that make my daily blogging tasks easier.

Do you do any of these to make your time blogging more efficient? Any tips and tricks you’d like to share?

So many fun tricks, lady! I have been using BeFunky since Amanda posted about it, too but I definitely need to try FotoJet. I love your link collages, they are so pretty and informative, too. And thank you for sharing trick number 1, I've been meaning to ask you about it forever, haha!

    Super fun post, friend! <3

One of my tips (my current blog is new-ish, but I have been blogging off-and-on since 2012) is to not re-post all of the same pictures that are on Instagram, share all of the same updates from Twitter/Instagram, post or all of the same things that were pinned on Pinterest. Sometimes there is no point in me reading a post because I already saw everything on another website.

Love these tricks! Definitely need to try Fotojet — and PicMonkey is my jam. I was against so many hashtags for awhile, but it really does make a difference! Even a non-blogger friend pointed out that I should use more tags to grow my Insta.

Ohh I've been debating getting a keyboard for my ipad recently. How does it connect?? And I am definitely going to have to check out fotojet too!

The best tip I've ever received is from Pat Hatt @ It's Rhyme Time. Write as many blog posts ahead of time as possible. This will allow you time to catch up on something else when blogging isn't really a priority. I love the HTML link idea!

Why have I never thought about the notes thing for hastags? That is genius! Is there a particular reason you split it up between the blurb and the comment?
