Trending Lately | Laced Up Flats

I've recently become a shoe fanatic - it's really strange since I was never really into shoes, only purses - but that's since changed and basically my closet is about to bust at the seams with all the shoes that are currently in there, we wont even talk about boots... The one pair I haven't added to the collection are laced up flats - they almost look like point shoes a ballerina would wear - without the discomfort! I've rounded up my favorite inspiration photos and also found some I wouldn't mind adding to my collection!

I was able to find the exact pair of faux snakeskin flats on Asos. I really like to keep price in mind when buying trendier pieces - so all of these have great price points!
These might not be ballet flats, but I did just add these gorgeous Ann Taylor mule/wedges to my closet and I can tell you they are like butter!!! Slip them on and it doesn't feel like you are wearing shoes! You also can't beat the price I paid last week of $24...they went up slightly to $34 but still an amazing deal!

To me, they are the perfect transition shoe - cool enough for the end of summer, but warm enough to keep you into Fall.

How do you feel about these laced up flats - would you wear them?

  1. THe lace up adds such a fun detail to flats, I see why you like them :)! I need to get a black pair, just for fun!

  2. I'm also a shoe fanatic which is bad b/c 90% of the time I'm wearing flip flops or tennies (staying comfy with the kids).

I love the wedges you just bought! I'm not sure about the lace up flats yet, but I think i'd definitely be tempted to snag a pair if they were a good deal. :)

  3. I want a black pair now too! I have not tried them yet but I love lace up espadrilles so I know I'll love them. Your AT wedges are soooo cute! Nothing beats a good slip on wedge!!! Happy Wednesday gorgeous!!

  10. I have been obsessing over lace-up flats lately! The Jeffrey Campbell ones are stunning but I also love the ones from Asos and Nordstrom, so much more affordable too!

  11. I looooooove that third pair! I haven't seen lace up flats before but they definitely dress up the regular flat.
You and Pamela must have been on the same shoe-wave length today! haha

  12. I bought the pair that I talked about it a little while ago and ended up returning them just because those tie things always slip when I walk. I think this is a pretty trend and like that there are a lot more affordable options. Always give it time and someone will come out with a great dupe :-)

  13. I'm digging those snakeskin ones. My new job has me walking a lot across the campus and most of my traditional heels are out- not comfy enough. I'm in need of some dressy flats and stylish wedges.

  14. The 3rd pair is cute! For some reason I don't like the way a pointed toe looks on me at all. I opt for a rounder toe usually. xo

  15. I have been loving this trend and have seen them everywhere! I really want a pair in Leopard Print!

  18. Cute! I think that's a fun way to play up flats and I'm a flats girl when the weather gets cooler. Will definitely be on the lookout for Fall!

  19. I totally love the lace up flats. My co-worker has them and she said they drive her crazy because they always untie. But they are so cute. I wouldn't mind a pair or two.

  20. They're super cute! Although I still don't think they look particularly comfortable... Ever notice how you have to really break in flats?! Like, they rub off all your skin and then after a solid 2 months of pain they're the best things ever?! That said, I wear them all the time ;)

  21. I have been dying over these lace up flats! They are so cute except pointed toe looks horrible on my foot for some reason when it comes to flats! I saw an open toe version and I might have to give those a try!

  22. I was looking at these flats when I was at Nordstrom on Monday and they're so cute. I don't like to wear heels that much so this would be a nice alternative. I would definitely have to try them on though!! :-) Thanks for sharing lady and I hope that you have a great day!!! :-)

  54. I was definitely more into bags than shoes up until last year. The ASOS pair look like a version of my gladiator sandals. I haven't tried lace up flats yet though but if they're more comfortable than ballet flats, I'm game.

  57. Super cute! I'm a bit shoe snob so most of the shoes I buy are not "trendy" but shoes that are classic and will last me a long time. These remind me of the gladiators a bit.

  58. I guess we have something in common I'm shoe obsessed, shoes make me happy, haha :-D, love these great for the days you want to look fabulous but don't wanna deal with the high heels.

  68. I feel I would look so foolish wearing laced up flats. I think they're for people with longer legs, and I'm so short, I think I'd run out of landscape, but they are really nice looking shoes.
