Weekending | Girls Weekend In Boston

Happy Monday friends!! You know it’s a good weekend when your high school friend comes in town and you walk close to 55,000 steps around the city – that means calories literally didn’t count this weekend!! This trip worked out perfectly timing wise since Gary was away with friends in Chicago and I was able to entertain all weekend! I love when friends and family come to visit because that means I get to play tourist in my own city and eat at all my favorite places! Here’s a look into how to have a successful girls weekend in Boston!

Girls Weekend in Boston

To start you have to cheers to the weekend!

These little Sofia cans are just the cutest and perfect single serving to start the weekend off right – I picked ours up for Target of course!

Saturday morning we started early and made our way to Stephanie’s on Newbury Street! I haven’t been here since the remodel this past winter and it’s gorgeous! The decor is both modern and traditional, but what keeps people coming back is the food – we both had the Poncherello sandwich and it was the perfect mixture of flavors! I would have never thought to add jelly with chipotle aioli, but I’m glad they did!

Made a pit stop at Francesca’s since it was tax free weekend – that’s right folks two weekends in a row I’ve shopped tax free!

A stop in the Public Garden is a must – especially when it’s stunning out – hot as can be, but stunning nonetheless!

After a quick outfit change we made our way to the Seaport to head to the Legal Test Kitchen. Jackie and I split our meals and thankfully we opted for the lobster mac and cheese – not pictured are the marinated steak lettuce wraps that also had us wishing we had ordered two servings!

I took Jackie to one of my favorite spots in Boston you might remember from Kate’svisit – the Envoy Hotel. Still my favorite spot to get beautiful views of Boston.

Sadly the weather wasn’t cooperating with us, but we didn’t let that stop us from continuing on to the next stop – Lolita! It was the perfect place to sit, people watch & enjoy some drinks!

Sunday was spent walking all over Boston – from the Boston Common to Boston’s North End! Don’t believe the amount of steps we took – follow me on SnapChat (blovedboston) to see!

When your friends’ one request is a lobster roll – you oblige by taking her to the place voted “best lobster roll” numerous years in a row! It was absolutely perfect and exactly why I have it on my list of restaurants you have to check out in Boston!

The weekend capped off with an amazing feast of tapas at Barcelona Wine Bar. They were incredibly accommodating with our meat selection since I like mine very well cooked and Jackie is slightly on the pinker side – they did a fantastic job!

So as you can see – to have a perfect girls weekend you need a great friend, good food and a city you’re able to walk off all that food!
