Happy Monday friends! If a girls weekend getaway is good for the soul - then a getaway with your sister is good for the heart as well!! We had a great time in Florida and I'm going to share everything about making the most out of 36 hours in Delray Beach!
Where To Eat//
Let's start with the food because I wasn't expecting Delray Beach to have the foodie scene that it did!!
My favorite brunch spot was Caffe Luna Rosa. The location is prime meaning it's across the street from the beach so you literally just cross the street for the most delicious brunch spot! I ordered the eggs Benedict with salmon on top & it was incredible!!
City Oyster & Sushi Bar was our dinner spot on Friday night! The food was nothing short of amazing! I had the pan seared scallops with crab risotto - you know me & my seafood and this was so fresh I had to stop myself from finishing it all off! I also had the most perfect rosé - Aix is refreshing with a hint of sweetness which is a nice change from most of the dry rosé's I've tried in the past!
Hands down best meal in Delray was at Dada. A handful of locals had recommended this restaurant out and it did not disappoint!
Everything is incredibly fresh and tasty. We ended up splitting a few appetizers and it was the perfect amount of food. Honestly I didn't even get a picture of our dessert, which was the warm banana bread because we devoured it before I was able to snap a photo!
What To Do//
Thankfully both my sister and I don't really need a lot of pool and beach time, but that didn't stop us from spending a few hours with the sand in our toes on Friday! There is something about being on a beach on a Friday without the crowds that is so peaceful! Side note, the water was incredibly warm, something we just don't get up here!
The Colony Hotel offers something very fun for people not staying there - yoga on Saturday's & Sunday's! It's offered through YogaFox Studio and the drop in class cost is only $15!
Even though we weren't planning on working out - we always have yoga pants on hand so it was a fun thing to do on Saturday morning!
The relaxation part of the weekend came with our amazing experience at the Seagate Hotel & Spa. Both my sister and I had incredible massages and then lounged poolside and enjoyed a quick bite to eat! They really went the extra mile to ensure our time was thoroughly enjoyed- which it was! If you're ever in the area and needed some R&R stop by the spa!
I couldn't believe how much Delray reminded me of South Beach...then again it is in South Florida so maybe it's to be expected! It was a perfect weekend with my best friend and I can't wait for more trips!
