You're Making Me Blush | Top 4 Blushes

I'm a self proclaimed blush-oholic! I love the addition of a little color to the cheeks and sometimes just swiping it on can make you feel more alive - or at least fake like you just had a great workout!! I thought I'd round up four of my favorite blushes. Some are cult favorites and other's happen to be great buys that I stumbled upon!
Top 4 Favorite Blushes

Tarte Amazonia Clay 12 Hour Blush - Glisten

Tarte Amazonia Clay 12 Hour Blush - Glisten
This color is described as a "shimmering peachy pink" and you'll see it's been well loved by me!! It's similar to the Nars one you'll see below, but I think is a bit more pigmented. The shimmer doesn't really rub off - meaning you can't see the shimmer as you would think you would. I don't think it quite lives up to the 12 hour wear it totes, but it comes pretty close! There are actually 15 colors in the collection and I have my eye on Tipsy which is more coral.

NARS - Orgasm

NARS - Orgasm
This one I'm sure you've all heard of, but there is a reason for it - it's a beautiful color on most skin tones!! It's described as a peachy pink with shimmer - so for those keeping score, exactly like the Tarte Amazonian clay. Unlike with that Tarte blush, I feel that you have to really pack on the color to see it on your cheeks, but it's build-able so you don't have to worry of being too overdone with only one swipe.

Bobbi Brown - Pretty Pink

Bobbi Brown - Pretty Pink
I've had this blush the least amount of time, but it's easily my favorite! The color is perfectly pink and it's incredibly pigmented so a little goes a long way! It's matte, so no shimmer at all & can be described as baby-doll pink! This is my favorite blush to travel with because it's so portable!

Sephora Blush - Love At First Sight

Sephora Blush - Love At First Sight
I've had this color for the longest time, but for some reason haven't made a dent it in, probably because similar to the Bobbi Brown blush a little goes a long way! I like this blush because it's paraben free, but it was a little flimsy and sadly the top broke off...so it doesn't travel well! This post helped me realize I need to start using it more!!
Top 4 Favorite Blushes
Four blushes may be a bit much, especially since they are all pretty similar, so I guess that means I need to get a few more in different colors!

What's your favorite blush to use? Do you have  more than one?

  6. Until I Stumbled upon Nars orgasm, I was always a cover girl oh I can't remember the name of that color but anyway I should because I used it for years. I definitely cannot finish off my make up ensemble without a brush of blush, and a little swipe on my nose too ha ha. Hope you, gorgeous girl, have a wonderful Wednesday!

  7. Love this post! NARS orgasm is my all time favorite blush and you are so right, it goes well with so many different skin tones! I have the Bobbi Brown Pretty in Pink too, but it's definitely pigmented so I have to use that sparingly! Happy Wednesday!

  11. I actually almost never wear blush but that last one looks good. I am always afraid of looking too overdone.

  12. I have been a fan of Nars "Orgasm" for years! I also love "Madly" by Nars. Becca blushes are my new favorite though! They're so pigmented and pretty. Love your picks!

  20. You never can have too much blush! Have you ever tried Milani baked blushes? They are fabulous, and you can't beat the price. Nothing compares to my beloved Tarte Exposed blush, though!

  21. Blush can really make a difference! I bought a bright pink a few years ago to change up my make up, and it was amazing how much better I felt with the brighter color!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think blush could easily be one of my most favorite makeup items. Surprisingly, I've never tried any Bobbi Brown but have been wanting to! Might need to pick up this color! xoxo

  23. Tarte Glisten is what I use!! I also love MAC peachy keen and fleur power!

  25. Girl, I wish you could teach me how to do my make up, ha ha! You always look flawless!

  26. I love bright pink ones!! Tarte baby doll has been my go to!! I also like wearing bronzer "as blush" if that makes sense ... for that I love Benefit perfect 10 which is half bronzer/half blush highlighter!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have Orgasm and I was actually kind of disappointed in it! I've been wanting to try the Tarte one... I really like their cheek stains!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I've been wanting to try NARS orgasm FOREVER and always forget!! Thanks for the recs and love the title of your post :) Kids and Cabernet

  29. I just got a sample in the mail of Tarte's amazonian clay blush in glisten. It is soo pretty. One of their blushes will definitely be my next makeup purchase. It's so hard to choose a color though! xo

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love NARS orgasm. I bought it last year and it still doesn't look like it's been used - and I wear it daily. I want to check out that Bobbi Brown blush, though. Might be time for a trip to Sephora!

  31. I go back and forth between my Tarte blush and NARS Orgasm all the time! It's hard to choose between the two! I think it's about time to add that Bobbi Brown one to my stash :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. These all look so pretty!! I don't know why, but I've never ever been able to find the "right" blush for my face...every time I've tried, they just end up looking hokey. But I'm thinking I need to try out the Tarte one!! The color looks so nice!

  34. I've heard so many great things about Tarte and Bobbi Brown! I just picked up an Urban Decay shade in something very similar to what you pictured here (a peachy pink) and it's all I've worn since I got it! Plus, it will look great through the fall and into winter, too. Great picks of products!

  35. I loooove Nars Orgasm, but totally agree you really need to pack it on. I recently got the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in radient magenta and it's literally perfect. A little goes a loooooong way and I love the mix of colors it uses to create a perfect cheeky glow!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I use NARS Orgasm if I use blush. I've heard great things about the Tarte 12 hours!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Look at your blush collection! I only ever have 1 blush at a time - guess I'm slacking :) I recently picked up a Physcians Formula blush at Target and I really like it! It's one of those multi-colored palettes and its supposed to be specially formulated for brunettes. I love drug store finds :)

  38. I am currently using my NARS Orgasm! love it. I want to try Milani or Sonia Kashuk next, as I've heard great things and I like their prices ;) At the rate I use blush though, won't be for like a year lol

    ReplyDelete
  39. I love NARS Orgasm! I bought it last time Sephora was having their big 20% off sale, and I haven't wanted to use anything else! I've tried the Tarte Amazonian Clay, but in a different color that wasn't my favorite. Maybe I should give Glisten a try since it has a little shimmer in it.

  40. A little goes a long way is great when it comes to makeup products! I've been more of a bronzer girl since I already have pink undertones but I just started using a sample size Urban Decay blush that I love for certain occasions.

  41. I'm just now learning how to put it on where it looks decent ... I'm a blush idiot.
My favorite color is a Bare Minerals color that in the container looks like its a dark purple, but it comes off looking really good my skin. Thank you make up lady that recommended it when I told her she was nuts.

  44. NARS Orgasm is my favorite! I'm super pale, so I typically have to wear Deep Throat in the winter and can do Orgasm in the spring and summer. (And I love that NYX makes a complete dupe to the NARS colors, as well!)

  45. I'm a loyal Orgasm fan as well (haha!). I always want to branch out but always go back to it

  61. These are all so pretty. Blush is one of the few products I really wear every single day (unless it's a no makeup day of course :)). I agree, Tarte's Amazonian Clay products are really fantastic, and their blushes are the best I've ever used!

  62. I'm a Bobbi Brown fanatic!! I have her peony, coral, mauve, and a few others. Expensive but so worth it. I love every single one I've ever bought from Bobbi and just switch them up based on my mood/what I'm wearing!!

I may be wrong, but I believe one of the 21 days of Ulta at the end of this month is a blush sale. Make sure you check it out!
