Fall Weekending

Happy Monday friends! If you have today off – I’m slightly jealous, if you’re at work today – hope that coffee is delicious!!

New England Fall

This weekend we took in all the Fall things and enjoyed a ton of down time!

Had the most relaxing Friday evening – the rainy weather helped the cozy feel inside! This weekend I became a fan of red wine – seriously where have I been? Also discovered olive and fig crackers from Trader Joe’s with sharp cheddar cheese-it’s amazing!

Saturday we hit the road early and made our way to Nashoba Valley Winery in Bolton, MA.

Apple Picking in New England

We started with a little apple picking – $15 for 1/2 a peck not a bad deal considering what we pay in the grocery store for a bag of 4 apples! Clearly tried to match my lipstick to the apples!

Fall in New England

I also pre-ordered our lunches from their restaurant so that they were ready when we wanted to eat! We were able to eat outside and take in all the beauty of the valley – including a couple getting married!

Wine Tasting in Nashoba Valley

You honestly can’t go to Nashoba and not take time to do a tasting. This is our third time visiting so we opted to skip the tour and just focus on all the delicious wine!! For $8/PP you get 5 drink tickets to taste test 5 different wines. It’s a great deal! Bonus, you get to keep the wine glasses – so yes that means we have 6 wine glasses now!

Right up the road is Bolton Orchards – they have a cute little country store with all the pumpkins you can want and then across the road is their apple picking orchard with pumpkin patch. You take an actual tractor ride to the pumpkin patch – really soak in the experience!

Wachusett Reservoir New England Fall

Since we don’t go that way too often – we asked Siri what was around us and she pointed us toWachusett Reservoir. I can’t even describe the beauty leading up to the reservoir and then once you actually climb all the stairs (if you follow me on snapchat you saw that monster we climbed @blovedboston) you see what’s on the other side!

Sunday was reserved for Boston – SoWa market was still open so we started some of our Christmas shopping…yep starting in October and had the most incredible pizza from Stocked Wood Fired Pizza

South End of Boston

I have a serious love affair with the South End – how could you not with a street as perfect as this?

We also needed something to do with all those apples so I tried my hand at this easyapple crisp recipeand it didn’t disappoint! Looks mushy but it was so tasty!

Before the weekend was up I was able to pick up a few things – since you know sales and everything! Can’t wait to try out this new foundation – I’ve heard really great things! Before I knew what was happening – we are back to Monday!! Hope you’ll link up below to share your weekend’s with us!

This is the perfect fall weekend in my book. That street is gorgeous and someplace you want to just walk down and admire the beauty. I miss orchards in NY. We had one we would go and do tastings, picking, eating and relish in the beauty of the land around us. It was the best weekend outing. Here in NC, they are not the same as New England orchards. Enjoy those fresh picked apples.

We have a winery somewhere in California that my family owns. It's called Groth Vinyards and they go ALL the time for wine tasting. I am so jealous! Even though I'm not a wine drinker, there is still some wines that taste exactly like koolaid!
