Weekending | Birthday Edition

Hello there friends and happy Monday!! This weekend was one for the books - friends, seriously amazing food & great weather...not much else needed! Here's what we got up to...
I have to say my friends know me well, but my best friends know the way to my heart! Rachel sent me a delicious treat from Sugarfina - my favorite candy shop! Champagne & bellini flavored gummy bears - I surprised myself having not eaten them all already!
If you come to visit us, there are two things we guarantee...1. you'll be well fed and 2. you will surely walk all those calories off!! My cousin and his wife came for a visit and we based our plans around brunch - is there any other way?!
It was our first time at Brownstone for brunch and after seeing the wait for a table a few weeks ago, we knew we had to try it!!
I had the crab cake Benedict and it was an actual crab cake with the eggs on top - it was incredible!
For as many times as they've come to visit us, we've never taken a stroll through South End - our favorite part of the city!
A quick walk over to the Esplanade where the wind almost knocked us over!
Proof that Boston is one of the most walkable cities out there!
Trying someplace new for dinner is never hard, narrowing it down is harder! I chose Empire Lounge for dinner with some friends and the food and atmosphere for dinner was wonderful!

Ice cream cake to cap off dinner!
As much as we all loved dinner, I think the lounge left something to be desired. The DJ was great, but the flow of the lounge was just too crowded...we all felt jammed and poorly thought through in the design! While we won't go back for the "party" we'll definitely be back for the food!
Another brunch, some quality niece and nephew time & it was finally time to relax! How was your weekend? Link up below to share! Have a great start to the week!

  38. You look so beautiful in all of these photos!! :-) I totally agree with you that Boston is a walkable city. That is definitely one of the best things about it. Eggs benedict with crab is SO good!! I haven't had that since my Newport days haha. Stinks about that lounge, not a fan of that... :-/ I'm glad that you had a fun birthday weekend and I hope that you have a great day today.

  41. Looks like it was wonderful birthday weekend! I'm glad you all liked the Brownstone. They have a great brunch. Have you ever tried the brunch at the Bristol Lounge? It's super expensive but soo good. Empire is such a fun place but I totally agree about the lounge area. It's poorly designed. Hope your Monday goes well.

  81. the way to my heart is always food haha. I love brunch! We don't really do it down here because there aren't good brunch places around, but it's the meal I love the most. But I really love dinner too, because sushi! And walking a meal off is so good! Makes me feel less bad about how much food I ate at any point in time.

You are killing it with them steps! Now that you've had the apple watch for a few more months do you still love it as much as you did before? It looks so fancy!
