Work Wear | Chambray

I tend to get in wardrobe loops for work - sticking to a few outfits that I know work for me and rotating them throughout the month. I've decided that as it starts to get warmer, I can start to think outside the box a bit and dress up some of my more casual pieces, like chambray. I work in a business casual environment and while I won't be wearing jeans to work anytime soon, I can add some color, patterns and accessories to jazz up an otherwise "boring" look.

As with any outfit you do run the risk of wrinkles and with chambray that does increase, but that's why I keep my hair so long - just plop it to the front to hide the wrinkles...only half kidding!
Business Casual looks for work
Fun fact about these ankle pants - I own them in three different colors because I love the fit so much! I also love that they have a "stripe" down the middle.
Spring bag for work
This purse was a crazy find at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago & I couldn't believe my luck...it totally looks like this pricier version here...yep didn't spend nearly that much! I have a fun "what's in my Spring Tote" post coming up soon!

  19. I also work in a business casual environment and totally know what you mean about outfit ruts. I actually try to plan my outfits out the weekend before and hang them at the end of all my clothes. There are times I wish I took photos though, because I'm sure I've accidentally repeated outfits here and there. (; You look awesome and wow that bag!

  47. Absolutely LOVE this look! I'm so guilty of wearing the same ole, same ole to work. I need to mix and match better! :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yes! I hands down agree with the having multiple colors, that's the only way I get through a work week. I have several different colors of the same dress and then multiple sets of dresses, add a blazer to that and it looks business casual, although our business casual is fairly casual, many people just wear jeans.

I love chambray too, but the wrinkles get me in the worst way! It usually starts out fine but over the day it just wrinkles, wrinkles, wrinkles!
