Happy Friday friends!! My best friend Rachel and her husband are coming to town for a visit, so there will be lots of walking and eating! I feel like I'm a pretty good tour guide at this point and it always get's me super excited to try out some new restaurants! Linking up with Amanda to share some of my favorites from this week.
Snapped this picture during a midday walk - it was hotter than I could have imagined, but still gorgeous!
I tried the 5 in 1 Bouncy Mask from First Aid Beauty and just like all of their other products that I've already raved about - this is another great one. Most masks feel drying, which don't get me wrong I love the feeling you get when you feel your skin tightening, to me it feels like it's working. This mask is a bit different - there isn't any drying, you keep it on for 10 minutes and it washes off exactly like you put it on - clear! It felt a bit tingly, but nothing that would be a cause for concern & I loved that.
I've become somewhat obsessed with the show Baby Daddy. I'd watched a few episodes here and there on ABC Family (I refuse to call it Freeform), but sort of forgot about it, until last Friday when Gary was out of town and I was looking for something to watch! You guys, I watched 2 seasons in one weekend...I mean with episodes that only last 21 minutes, it's hard not to fly through them while you're doing things around the house, but the show itself is so witty and light, you can't help but want to watch! Best thing, the current season is on Wednesday nights at 8:30.
Last Saturday, my friend Heather and I had a great dinner out at Barcelona Wine Bar- it's a tapas restaurant and the food is melt in your mouth good! We got a few tried and true favorites, but also splurged on a couple of new items - the clear winner of the night was the fried squash and chorizo. We also got a pitcher of the sangria - note to self, two people one pitcher takes a while to finish even though we weren't complaining! P.S. it was so incredibly dark in that restaurant and I used Pic.Tap.Go to edit the photos and looks like the lights were completely on!!
I need a new makeup palette like I need a root canal, but I saw the colors in the Sephora Filter Palette in "Vintage" and couldn't pass it up. The colors I've been using most often this week are Cashmere Coat, Memory Lane & Secret Boudoir as the base shade. Some reviews claim that the shadows aren't very pigmented, I actually disagree with this and think if you start with an eye shadow primer you get great color. It's a great price point and it's thin and small compared to other palettes.
