Weekending Snaps

Happy Monday friends!! After having not one, but two nights out, I feel like the weekend flew by, but I’m totally fine with that since I’m already looking forward to Friday and heading to NYC with some of my besties for a bachelorette party!

Snapped this photo on the way to my barre class – something about reading “Y’all” makes me feel like I’m back home again.

After work & a seriously amazing acupuncture appointment (I have a review coming soon) we headed to Anthem in Faneuil Hall. It’s one of those restaurants I always think of when we need to stay downtown after work!

We started with the BLT crostinis which presentation wise were really great, but sort of missed the mark food wise and were kind of hard to eat, but the fish tacos and lobster mac and cheese that G & I split were amazing! I’d go back for the lobster mac & cheese alone!

Fun fact – Friday night was the first time I’ve ever been part of a surprise party…how is that possible?! The only photo on my phone from the party is this selfie with the birthday girl – who was totally surprised to see us all there- guess that’s the point! You might have seen a few snippets on snapchat (@blovedboston), but I was so surprised to see the bar almost completely empty around 9ish and then all of sudden we went from being the only people on the dance floor to being surrounded at like 10, also the point I was ready to go home #oldladystatus!

I can’t believe that I’ve lived in Boston long enough to see the New England Gators rotate through 3 different bars, but The Warehouse Boston is by far the best one we’ve been at to watch the game and hopefully our lucky charm since those gator boys looked amazing this week! Starting at 2:30 and going for 4 hours is not quite the same as it was when I was 22 vs 29!!

Caught a beautiful sunset on our way home – I’m going to miss it staying light out so late into the evening.

Wrapped up the weekend – literally and figuratively with a trip to TJ Maxx. I used all our cute wrapping paper when we ran out of bubble wrap during the move, so when I spotted these three cute prints, I had to get them…plus they were only $2,99 each – just begging to be bought! The “Runway” selection at my TJ Maxx is a hit or miss and thankfully with the end of season I was able to snag a Trina Turk “Britta” skirt– trying to figure out how I can wear it at least once before it’s inappropriate to wear day glow outside…

Not pictured…

// A productive wedding meeting with our bespoke couple getting married next month – they are having 2 weddings!

// A much needed pedicure – so relaxing

// Finally watching Me Before You and now I can’t wait to read After You

// Listening toCapsize on repeatsince hearing it in a spin class on Wednesday

My exact thoughts for this week ahead! How was your weekend? Link up below to share it with us!

I am such a wrapping paper junkie and the sad part is, i don't even use it. it just sits in it's holder and looks pretty. Loving that orange skirt, it's such a great find for a Florida fan!

Lovely sunset. I have never heard of a couple having two weddings before. We've considered having a wedding on one of our anniversaries because we eloped the first time. But the reasons that caused us to elope (family living all over the country, husband's mother wanting to take over and make the whole thing about herself, etc.) will probably keep us from doing it.

That skirt is so fun and a great pop of color! And the wrapping paper has me with all the heart eyes! Looked like the rest of the weekend was lots of fun (and had some tasty treats as well!) Hopefully having NYC to look forward to gets the week going by quickly!

Surprise parties make me so nervous for some reason πŸ™‚ I'm always afraid I'll be the one to give it away… & then I ALWAYS have to pee when its time for the person to arrive. My nerves are shot by the time they get there πŸ™‚ haha

I LOVE that wrapping paper. I'm one who likes to stay stocked up on cute wrapping paper too – I never thought to look at TJ Maxx

You scored some great finds at TJ Maxx!!! I walked around ours yesterday but there was nothing that I couldn't live without. I dont remember looking at the gift wrap and stuff though…must have walked past it distracted by something else. I hate when food looks really good but then is just meh. And hard to eat stuff really annoys me. But the rest of your meal sounds/looks fab!! I love finding fans of different state football teams at certain places around town. When I lived in Atlanta, there was an Alabama bar. We don't really have that here in Birmingham…everyone is pretty much Alabama and Auburn but you can find most of the games on.
