Sweater Weather

Well it's official - sweater weather has hit the northeast! Can I take a moment to pause that anytime someone says sweater weather I immediately think of the song by The Neighborhood...okay now that we have that out of the way...I took stock of my closet a couple days ago and came to realize that while I have a lot of long sleeved shirts, I don't have many sweaters!
For Work || Color Block Milano Sweater || Ruffle Turtleneck  || Pleated Hem Sweater
For Fun || Eyelet Lace Up || V-Neck Knot  || Ruffle Trim Fuzzy Sweater
For work I like a nice fitted sweater - nothing bulky and if needed could be tucked into my skirt or pants. Of course I can wear my fitted sweaters on the weekends, but sometimes you want something cozy yet not bulky! They key for me is making sure that I can still comfortably wear a jacket, because if I feel like the Michelin Man then I know I won't be comfortable!
I also love a good cardigan and this one from SheIn has been on heavy rotation for the last few years - it's just too perfect! All of the SheIn options are under $25, so that means I should get all 3 right?!
What's your go to sweater style?

  1. Ahhh cozy sweaters are the best! The lace up teens and peplum hems are so cute. I'm with ya, nothing bulky at work and I need to move. In a bulky sweater, I feel a little stagnate, lol. LOVE your sweater from Shein, great pattern!! Speaking of great, have a GREAT day!!

  13. YAY for sweater weather! We haven't quite hit the temperatures for that here yet but I'm sure it'll show up sooner rather than later. You've picked out some great ones but I think I like the white one with the ruffle the most - too cute!

  14. Yes! I love that song, lol. These all are great choices - loving that ruffle mock hem.

  15. I know, the weather just dropped, didn't it!? I mean, last week it was in the low 80s and now it's in the 50s! I love all the sweaters you've shared here, beautiful! I honestly can't even choose a favorite because I'd want to wear them all, they're so unique, too! I'm also loving that cardi you're wearing in the photo, as well as your friend's hot pink sweater, you two look so beautiful and stylish! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having the best week so far!

  16. Yay for Sweater Weather!! Although, I have yet to break them out. Layers have been my bff. It's so hot in my office that I would roast in a sweater. I'm still wearing my summer shirts!! I don't even have heat in my office, I had them turn it off and it is still that hot in my office. Joys of working in an old building.

  18. I love a mix of fitted and bulky sweaters. I just pulled all of mine out and it was like being a kid in a candy store! So many options. I also love me a good cardigan or duster. Anything to keep me warm and fashionable!

  19. Oooh I love that knotted v-neck one! I'm a cardigan and oversized knit fan. I'm always cold but I also get hot flashes when I walk inside sometimes so cardigans are nice to slip on and off. I love boyfriend and "grandfather" styles, where I can wear a fitted and flattering top underneath but add some warmth and usually a fun pattern with an open-front cardigan.

  20. I had to put a jacket on this morning! First time I've had to do that this year when heading to work :) Love sweater weather! xx

  21. Yes! I love sweaters, but I don't own many. It also doesn't get very cold here so I don't need many, but I do think they're cute. Thankfully, my work is really casual dress so I can pretty much wear any of them!

  22. SO many cute styles. I am all about sweaters for fall and loving your picks.

  23. Obviously you should get all three, duh! I do love a good sweater. I feel like I have so many yet not enough all at the same time. I just ordered two that I can wear now and then after baby as I am trying to get my body back. Butttt it was 85 here yesterday so clearly not ready to pull them out just yet. Sigh.

  27. I mean, can a gal ever have too many sweaters? (; Buy them all! haha I'm such a bad influence, but I'm also the one who buys the same top in multiple colors because she loves said top so much. (;

  28. Seriously love these sweaters you picked and would wear all of them. I have yet to order from SheIn because I wasn't sure how the quality would be with such low price points but I might need to take the plunge and check them out. Beautifully Candid

  29. Love that knot sweater! Don't think I could pull that off this winter since my belly would be hanging out the bottom haha!! It's officially sweater weather in NC too and I couldn't be more happy!!!

  30. the pleated hem sweater is such a favorite of mine!! I hope it comes back in stock because I want the navy one too!

  31. I got rid of a ton of my sweaters a couple of years ago and I'm slowly rebuilding my collection. Last Summer I purchased a couple that are so cute and fitted for under $10 a piece at Lane Bryant...I love shopping for winter clothes during off-season, it's so cheap! Love your picks...the pink one is so cute!

  33. That v-neck knot sweater is awesome! So unique! And we're still waiting not-so-patiently down here for sweater weather. Going to the mountains was just a tease because now that we're back, we're back to 85. It's the never-ending summer!

  34. I know that I'm a cardigan girl through and through, and I think that 3/4 of my sweaters are cardigans! They're just so easy to pair with anything and everything though! I'm with you on loving some bulkier sweaters on the weekends to help you feel cozier!

    ReplyDelete
  35. That pleated hem sweater is EVERYTHING. I need it right this exact moment, haha. It's been so cold here in Amsterdam already and I am definitely in need of some shopping to get with the program :) Love your picks, sweet girl!

    ReplyDelete
  36. SheIn gets me every time!! Anything under $20 you are allowed to buy multiples of, no problem! I love that pink ruffle trim sweater- need to order that ASAP! Great pieces, girl!! See you tomorrow :)

  37. you absolutely need all 3 if they are under $25. can't go wrong! i love thin sweaters, or fitted ones i can wear under coats. i have a few chunky ones and they sound good in theory, but never work out because like you said you end up looking like the michelin man! or worse, they are huge but not warm and you can't fit a coat over it. not cool.

  38. I've been debating ordering that olive sweater and you've just convinced me! Ordered:)
