The ceremony took place at The Cathedral of the Holy Cross with an altar that was made for a train like the one on Ylan's Berta Bridal.
When Ylan told us that her bridesmaids were going to be wearing Badgley Mishka dresses from Rent the Runway - my first thought was genius! Not only does this cut the cost of bridesmaids dresses way down, but you aren't left with a dress that more often than not you wont wear again! If I had known about RTR when I was getting married, I would have 100% opted for this!
Flowers by Petals, Inc.
I wasn't able to get any detail shots of the ballroom, but I did manage one shot before everything was set up of the escort card table!!
We were running ahead of schedule all day, which in wedding time is pretty much unheard of, but it's one of our top goals throughout the day! We don't want anyone to feel rushed and miss out on some key moments like getting all your pictures in!
The Park Plaza ballroom has this amazing stage where the entrances took place and then everyone went into one big dance - pretty much all 200 guests joined Ylan & Tim on the dance floor to start the wedding!
Then everyone was able to watch their first dance as well!
When the guests were eating dinner we snuck into the photobooth for a little #vendorsgonewild photo! The banquet & event staff at the hotel, the videographer, photographer & DJ were seriously incredible! We'd be lucky to work with any of them again!! Pictured: A few goodies from the sweet bride as a thank you! Notice the hotel key's have "Boston's Most Beloved Hotel" - pretty close to my blog name...I'd say meant to be!
After over 13 hours on my feet & the wedding being over, Sunday with the rain was a welcome change of pace! We went to an early showing of Girl on the Train and it was sooo good! It held pretty true to the book, but I'd actually say that I prefer the movie to the book on this one - not the case when we saw Gone Girl. I think Emily Blunt was very captivating in her role as Rachel.
Reveling in the fact that the weekend is already over, the trees have started to lose all the colorful leaves and we are so much closer to the end of the year than anything else!!
How was your weekend? Link up below to share with us!

A success and a dream wedding!! That bride must feel so grateful to you guys! Beautiful!! I liked The Girl on The Train movie better too....Emily Blunt should be nominated for her role for awards. Did you know she was pregnant during filming? Wow and double WOW to your successful weekend! Enjoy your day off!!
ReplyDeleteAll the snaps from the wedding were absolutely gorgeous! And her dress, just stunning! And so smart to use RTR for the bridesmaid dresses! Glad to hear Girl on the Train was good! Happy Monday!

ReplyDeleteWhat a GORGEOUS wedding! I swear, I could read about people's weddings all day long and never get tired of it! I think I missed my calling to be a wedding planner! If I ever move to Boston, can I come work for you?! Haha.

RTR for bridesmaids' dresses is BRILLIANT! So wish they had that six years ago, although I just told my bridesmaids to find a black cocktail dress they loved and to wear that to cut costs and let them wear something THEY loved and felt comfortable in. Great job on the wedding; it looked beautiful! I can only imagine how exhausted you are, but glad you got to relax some yesterday.
ReplyDeleteWOW! That wedding was amazing. I loved the bride's dress and the photo of them in the ball room for the first dance was incredible! I read the book of The Girl On The Train and I am so excited to see the movie! Have a great week :)

Wow, what a beautiful wedding! That dress is stunning! Congrats on a smooth coordination!
ReplyDeleteThat wedding looks just gorgeous!!! Her dress is absolutely stunning and those bridesmaid dresses are amazing!!! So awesome they opted to rent them to save money. Not all brides are so thoughtful of their wedding parties! Your colored leaves are making me super jealous. We have hardly any that have turned down here. I fear they are going to just go brown and fall because it has been too hot. Booo. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous she had not one but two absolutely beautiful weddings! I know several people who have done the RTR thing for bridesmaid dresses and it is SUCH a good idea! I love her bridal gown too, stunning! Glad you had a relaxing Sunday after such a busy Saturday! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteI loved watching your snaps of this wedding! I was in love with her dress! Such gorgeous ceremony! I love that the dresses are from rent the runway such a great idea!

Wow, that wedding is seriously breathtaking...it seems like the bride thought of every single detail and it looks like it went off without a hitch. Running on time....say what?! We saw the Girl on the Train and I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I was going to...but you have me curious to read the book though!!
ReplyDeleteI read about their Viatnemese styled wedding last week and now this week I am even more WOWed with their other wedding. Ylyan's dress and the bridesmaid dresses are all stunning. They each look beautiful. You guys did a great job, you should be very proud.
ReplyDeleteI have just started reading "Girl on the Train" and cannot wait to finish and see the movie. I am sure I will love it.
I hope you get to relax a little this week my friend. Hope all is very well.
You should feel so accomplished and proud of you and your team for putting together such a wonderful weeding and this is just the beginning! Ylan sounds like such a pleasure to work with, having been organized and I've never spoken to a bride who has opted for Rent the Runway, simply genius and I will not be suggesting that to any brides to be I know! Thanks so much for sharing, gorgeous, and I hope you have the most amazing start to your week!

ReplyDeleteGirl's dress is leaving me literally speechless! You have the coolest job! I know it's slightly far fetched from what you actually do, but every time you talk about your wedding plan shenanigans, I totally picture you as JLo in the wedding planner. (; Which I'm sure you've heard a zillions times. This wedding looks stunning!
