Thanksgiving Day Style

Little known fact about me - Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday out of the year!! I love that it's all about family, friends and enjoying life's little moments! My parents always fly up to spend the week with us and I love making a few new apps to share with my guinea pigs err...family! A large part of the afternoon is spent around the kitchen - talking, baking & catching up and for that reason I like to be comfortable, but still dressed up - it IS possible! The key to any great Thanksgiving Day outfit is comfort and to make sure the clothes are loose enough to hide that food baby we have after our second helping of green bean casserole!

When you find a comfortable, affordable and figure flattering dress - you are totally okay with the fact that you'll be wearing it a lot! I love that this dress can be worn for so many different occasions and the price point is hard to beat (under $30)!! Fair warning - this will be a heavily repeated outfit!!

Which of the below four apps get your vote to try next week?!

  5. Gorgeous dress and it looks so great paired with the hat! You have the hair to pull of a hat like that--I don't think my short hair would look great even though I've always wanted one!

Something comfy to hide my food baby ;) although this year I really am going to try to NOT pig out like usual (and eat 100 crescent rolls and 2 slices of pie). Gotta get back to my healthier self!

  67. We've been married almost six years and we've never hosted Thanksgiving before! We've hosted almost every other holiday, but it seems like we're always on the road during this particular holiday. I love love love that your family has a set tradition for where you spend this holiday, and lucky you for getting to host. :) Love this outfit! I actually saw a dress like this at Francesca's last weekend in a wine color, but it wasn't quick as cheap as this one. Good find!

  71. That dress is super cute! I plan to wear a plaid shirt dress with a belt but I def see the belt coming off at some point LOL I have made cranberry, brie, and pecan bites before and they are super easy and yummy. I'm sure they are similar to make as the cranberry goat cheese bites above. I am making a spiked apple cider and a cheesy pull apart garlic bread for an appetizer. of course I am bringing some pies too!
