Happy Friday friends! Somehow we've come to the last weekend in January - ah! I'm excited for another styled shoot we're doing this weekend, completely different from anything we've done before so follow along on instastories for a little behind the scenes! Linking up with Amanda to share some favorites from this week!
On our ride home from Stowe on Sunday, Gary introduced me to a podcast that he regularly listen's to on NPR called "How I Built This." Each episode is about 30-35 minutes long and gives you a first hand account of how entrepreneurs built their businesses. We listened to the Drybar & Instagram podcasts on our ride and I am now hooked. Zappos & AirBnB are the next ones I can't wait to listen to!
Well it was on my 30 before 30 list and I'm finally going to get to cross this one off! I have toyed with the idea of baylage for the longest time and in March I'm finally going to do it!! Appointment is booked and everything! My main concern was I didn't want a ton of upkeep and my hairstylist assured me that the look I was going for wouldn't need to touch up for 6 months to a year if I wanted to keep the baylage look. I'm so looking forward to this!
Oh how I've waited for Thursday night to return - SCANDAL is back you guys!! I'm pretty sure this was the most anticipated return to TV in quite some time and of course it lives up to the hype! I'll be honest since it's been on hiatus for what feels like an entire year, I watched the last episode last week to catch up and of course it got me so excited for all the Shonda Rhimes drama!! Everything about this show is amazing and I'm not sure if you're Team Fitz or Team Jake, but I'm Team Jake all the way! Another show we've been hearing a lot of hype over is Sneaky Pete on Amazon. It's another original for Amazon and has gotten rave reviews so I know what we'll be doing this weekend!! Starts with a B and ends with -inging!
I actually have another "Recently Read" post in the works and as I finish books I write my thoughts down about them, but I HAD to share this book with you all right away! I was wait-listed for this book for a few months so when the opportunity to read it came up, I started the book and sort of forgot why I was interested in it. Over 3,200 people on Amazon agree that this is a 5 star book and I happen to be one of them. This was my first Colleen Hoover book and I've heard it's her best work so I almost don't want to read any others because of how much I loved reading this book. There are so many things to say about this book - you will fall in love with each character for different reasons, you'll be mad at each character for different reasons & in the end you'll just get it. You can read about the synopsis here because I really don't want to give anything away. I'll say that I was hooked from the first few paragraphs, that the writing was as if I was watching a movie (so easy to follow and so good) & that' I'm actually sad I finished the book in a 24 hour period. Oh and I went back and read the last two chapters because I actually didn't want the book to end - so there's that!
Hope you all have amazing weekends - see you back here Monday for a little weekending!
