First Friday of February (how's that for an alliteration) is upon us! How was everyone's week? It seemed like I had something going on most nights after work, but I'm looking forward to a relaxing Friday night followed by a few things planned this weekend. Linking up with Amanda to share a few of my favorite things from the week!
Godfrey Hotel || One Year Anniversary
Gary & I attended the Godrey Hotel's one year anniversary party on Wednesday night. We had a fun night mingling with some of my favorite Boston Bloggers, including one of my good friends Tess! While I don't normally bust out my metallic heels during the work week, this was a fun excuse - also getting a lot of wear, these burgundy velvet pants! We took some photos with TapSnap which is this fun photo booth type thing that has you step in front of a green screen & then once the photo is done you basically get to choose your background! You can have fun with it by adding a celebrities head over your's or pretend like a dinosaur is getting ready to eat you --> random, but kind of hilarious!
With the Patriots playing in the Superbowl this Sunday - I'll definitely be watching! Our neighbors are throwing a party & asked us to bring any app we'd like. The bacon wrapped kielbasa was a huge hit at my NYE party so I might make that or make something new like these baked buffalo cauliflower bites and buffalo chicken bites <-- I think I'm craving something spicy!
Valentine's Day Treat
Yesterday I got the sweetest delivery from Shari's Berries complete with flowers & everything! Safe to say Gary is off the hook for Valentine's Day or will have to come up with something that doesn't involve dessert! Chocolate covered strawberries are my absolute favorite dessert - I'm calling it a success that I (and Gary) did not eat everything in one night & brought some in for co-workers to enjoy as well!
I love reading other blogger's photography tips, especially for flat lay photos. They are the ones that I'm most drawn to on Instagram, but I have the hardest time taking them myself!! This was a great post on how to be spatially aware, working around shadows & when to add / when to take away from a photo.
