After taking stock of my closet, specifically my shoes, I've realized that I don't have that many pairs of spring / summer sandals to wear! I wanted to round up a few of the styles that I have my eye on and some that I've already purchased! Some of these are trendier shoes, so I don't want to spend as much because I'm still unsure if I'll like the style so I love that there are dupes for the higher end designer ones out there to test out first!
The Must Haves ||
These are the shoes of the season and if it feels like everyone is wearing them, probably because it's true. I have the blue block heel sandals from Target and love them! I haven't bit the bullet on the Marc Fisher espadrilles yet, but it's only a matter of time until I use my Nordstrom GC towards that purchase! I'm also really loving mules, but not quite ready to commit to a pricey option, so these Merona ones from Target are a great one to try the trend out. They come in gray too, but online don't have my size.
Rock Studs ||
Ever since Valentine came out with their rock stud collection, you can find a "save" option practically everywhere. This is a trend that doesn't really seem to be going anywhere, but it's also not something that's "classic" so I'm going to save myself a little money and opt for the non-designer version. If I had to pick a favorite it would most definitely be these espadrille rock stud flatforms from SheIn and only $30! Of course Target nailed it with their look-a-like Valentino option in these gladiator sandals.
Slip on ||
I'm not completely sold on the slip on shoes with no backs. For one, I'm a little concerned that my toes will be death-gripping the front of the shoe - please tell me you know what I'm talking about! The lack of support on around the back of my heel makes me think they wont be a shoe that I'll wear for long periods of time, but I'm willing to give the trend a chance. I found two great low cost options from SheIn - the loafer with a bow would be great for a casual Friday at work & the black embroidered ones are an amazing dupe for the $700 pair of shoes from Gucci! And how cheeky are these espadrilles - my black ones are on their last leg and I love the comfort of espadrille flats! They also come in black and under $35!
