Spring and Summer To Do List

With the unofficial start to summer at the end of the month, I wanted to share a few of the to do's I have on my list! Last year we actually marked off everything off the list I created and did a lot of fun things around the city and around New England so I'm hoping for more of the same this year! I know it probably feels really early to be talking about Summer and plans, but when you think about how fast time goes by, I'm just trying to be prepared 😉
  • Explore more of New England || I think this one is going to be on the list for the foreseeable future because there are so many great little towns to check out. After realizing how easy it was to get to the coastal towns like Newburyport, we plan on taking advantage of the commuter train for a few more trips. This weekend we are actually headed up to Portland, Maine for the day & have a few trips to Newport, RI planned as well!
  • 4th of July Celebrations || Last year we headed to Maine for half of the holiday weekend & this year my cousin and his wife are going to be visiting so the pressure is on to create a memorable holiday for all of us! I think this is where the day trip to Newport is going to come in!
  • Spring / Summer Clean Out || Since we moved into our condo last year, we've been pretty good about keeping it clutter free, but as with any home it's hard to maintain that level of cleanliness and my closet seems to be bursting at the seems - not in a good way either with clothes that I'm dying to wear. More so, just not organized and very cluttered. I'm looking forward to a good old fashioned closet clean out!
  • Summer wardrobe || After my recent trip to Florida I realized that my summer wardrobe is seriously lacking - probably because we only get like 2 months of true hot weather here! I already picked up two adorable pieces from Francesca's including this one shoulder ruffle top that I can't wait to style, but I need a few more pairs of my favorite shorts from loft in the mix as well.
  • Bespoke Focus || I've been pretty quiet on my wedding business recently, but it's not because we aren't busy - quite the opposite! We have three weddings coming up in May, June and  September and already have one big one scheduled for next year. Our focus this Summer is going to be putting together another pop up event similar to the one last year!
  • Take a sushi making class || Gary & I have talked about taking a sushi making class for the longest time and I really want to make it happen in the next few months!!
  • Summer Travel || My best friend just recently gave birth to two beautiful twin babies & I need to plan a trip to see them! I also have to plan a trip to see another good friend of mine in Philadelphia since they were living in Hawaii for 2 years and I haven't met her two babies!!

I think I started this little to-do list with the hopes of making the spring and summer last as long as possible!! What do you have on your bucket list for the season?

  1. This is such a great list! I have always wanted to take a sushi making class, and I am so jealous that you are able to hop on a train and visit little New England towns. That would be quite a drive for us! I can't wait to see all that you do.

I highly recommend grabbing a lobster roll at Flo's, dinner & drinks at the Red Parrot and a sailing cruise! haha sorry I just got so excited thinking about it :-)

  14. I love to visit small charming towns. I really need to visit more of New England myself! I am in upstate NY and there are so many places just in my area I have not experienced. Maybe some weekend trips are in order. Also my summer wardrobe is also severely lacking. I need to get on that soon!

  15. It looks like you have some really fun plans lined up, girl! I'd love to take a sushi class too! I have to look into taking one with both Eddie and my mom, I know the two of them would love it, too. Plus, I need to catch up on all these months without eating sushi after having baby girl, lol. I've missed it so much, along with a bunch of other food. I want to have a feast in that delivery room, lol. Ah, Maine has got to be one of the best places to celebrate the 4th! My mom has some friends who live up there and I've never thought to tag along with her. My daughter's due date is on the 4th and we're hoping she arrives right on time b/c we'd love to do fire works for her birthday every year :) Thanks so much for sharing your list with us, beautiful! Oh, and there's no doubt in my mind that you'll deliver for that 4th party. You are so good at planning weddings and are so extremely creative, your cousin and his wife WILL be impressed! Happy Wednesday, beauty!

  31. Sounds like a good list. The sushi making class sounds especially interesting. I've actually never tried sushi of any kind, but recently made a list of top ten foods I want to try & sushi is on the list. Would be kind of cool to make my own sushi I try.

  35. I can't wait to hear all about your trip to Portland! Chris and I have been dying to make it up there because we've heard how beautiful it is, plus I think that Chris just wants to eat a ton of lobster. You're also totally right about it not being too early to plan out things to do this summer. It already feels like it in the South and it'll be officially summer before we know it!
