Weekending | Day Dates

Happy Monday friends!! Coming off a productive and fun weekend, I'm so ready for this week ahead! I've realized that as much as I love going out with friends & G at night, I really like getting the most out of the day and just relaxing on the couch at night - especially if it means that I'll be up early and getting the most out of our Saturday & Sunday! We went into the weekend with zero plans and somehow ended up having two really fun day dates!
We had an impromptu double date with our friends Tom & Jackie on Saturday. I haven't been to the driving range since our honeymoon & I think we might be making our way to the driving range a little more this Summer! For $15 which included 75 golf balls & two golf clubs we had a blast out there! Some swings were better than others, but we had a great time!
I hope the little boomerang works :)
Still wearing these sunglasses
Gary had a few Happy Gilmore hits! While the girls shopped, the guys held court at the bar & then we all reconvened for a little dinner at one of our local favorites!
Sunday was all about things around the house - but we knew that it was going to rain later in the afternoon so we saved all of that for when it was raining and had another day date!
I stole Jackie's hairstyle from the day before and tried out the half up top knot on myself! I also scooped up these fun earrings from J.Crew. Don't let their size fool you -they are super lightweight and I joked with G that I felt a little like J.Lo with my hair up like that and big hoop earrings!
We checked out Eat by Chole at their new Fenway location & holy yum! The food was so good! They have a plant-based food menu which means there are no animal products in anything.  I had the Kale Caesar & Gary had the sunrise burrito from their brunch menu - then we split the air baked french fries & both agreed that we would be back next weekend!
One of the big to do's on my list this weekend was a closet clean out that I was able to get done and things that definitely made the cut - fun summer tops, my denim jacket & these mules that I probably shouldn't have worn to walk 5 miles :) Living in the city the last 8 years, we both get really excited when new restaurants and fun things to do start popping up because that means we have more day dates in our future! But when all else fails, at least there is House of Cards to entertain us - we are almost done with the latest season!!
How was your weekend? Are you watching the new House of Cards season? Link up below to share!

  20. I seriously love day dates and then coming home to relax at night. I'm much more of a day time person than a night so if I'm out too late you can often find me passed out at a bar, restaurant, etc. No shame lol! Glad you had such a great weekend! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  26. SUCH A BIG THUMBS UP for places to eat that are animal cruelty aware... give me all the vegan/vegetarian dishes out there! Looks like the bowl is even biodegradable. NICE.
I swear, I dont know why, but I'm convinced I'd be good at golf. Have nothing to back me on that... but I'm sticking to it.

  37. It looks like you had such a fun weekend, girlie! I tried golfing once, I kept swinging over the ball and that was the end of it, lol. That's so cool that you were able to link up on a double date, that's always so much fun! I've heard SO MANY great things about Eat by Chloe, but I've yet to try them out; I have to when I'm in the city, which is where most of them are located here in and around NY and CT. Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great start to your week so far!

  56. If you are a little on the non-traditional side and want some color in your dress dresses to wear to a weddingbut not sure if you want to plunge in to an all color dress, just dresses then a decorative belt might be the perfect
touch for you.  These decorative belts come in all different colors and have different embellishments depending on the dress shape and style.   An idea I love is to wear an ivory belt for the ceremony and switch it up by changing in to a different belt or sash with a pop of color for the reception.  It will look like a whole new dress!
