About Me in Three's

Having seen this post floating around, I thought it would be fun to add in my answers & in the process hopefully share some fun facts about myself! I always love learning more about the bloggers I follow & hopefully you do as well!
Three favorite foods
Sushi - duh!
Lobster mac & cheese
French fries
Three things I'd never give up
I was having a hard time with this, so I asked Gary what he thought I wouldn't give up! He's spot on!
Phone
Makeup
Television
Three favorite cocktails
Frosé - I think that has been pretty well established at this point 😉
Bellini
Moscow Mule
Three favorite movies
Legally blonde - hands down my favorite movie! I also did a post on why Elle Woods is a great role model!
Devil Wears Prada
The Wedding Planner
Three favorite simple pleasures in life
First sip of coffee in the morning
Getting a manicure
Getting into bed after a particularly long day
Three things that are always in my car
I don't have a car!! I take the train or walk! We use Zipcar when we need to escape the city!
Three things I always have with me
Phone
Portable Charger
Wallet
Three things I regret doing / not doing
I try not to dwell on things that I've done / not done because as cliché as it sounds. I wouldn't be at this point in my life if things hadn't worked out the way they did. I truly believe everything happens for a reason - if something happens that isn't necessarily great we might not know why at that moment, but it will all come full circle!
Three most recent places I traveled to
Philadelphia
Florida
California - up the Pacific Coast Highway
Three most often used makeup products
Mascara / Lash Primer
Bronzer
CC Cream
Three things that make me cry
Thinking about my grandmother's and not being able to see them as much as I want to
When I get really scared, like not knowing if something / someone is going to jump out at me. Clearly this doesn't happen very often! When Gary and I were dating, he went to use the bathroom while we were watching a movie & came back out and scared me so badly that I actually cried. He felt so terrible, he's never tried to scare me again!
Oddly enough, motivational videos really make me cry and reading inspiring quotes
Three things that make me smile / laugh
When Gary puts on any type of accent
Any type of baby or baby animal video
Watching Carpool Karaoke
Three places I want to visit inside the US
Austin
Seattle
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Three places I want to visit outside the US
Iceland - headed here in October
Portugal
Australia
Three blessings in my life
My amazing husband & family
My health
The ability to live the life I want
Now it's your turn! Do we have any similarities?

  8. First, I am obsessed with those rings on your thumb in the pic with the coffee! Jacksonhole is one of my favorite places, it's SO pretty and feels like you aren't even on this planet any more. And yes to getting into bed after a long day! Or any day haha! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  10. Ha, I'm with you on the three things I could never give up! I also love frosé, sushi, lobster mac & cheese, getting into bed after a long day, and that first sip of coffee in the morning. If you ever come to Austin, I'd be happy to give you some recommendations. (The first being, come in spring or fall so you don't melt! Haha!) It's such a fun city!

  14. Love Legally Blonde too! I saw part of The Devil Wears Prada last week, and realized I don't know if I've ever seen the entire movie. I don't like being scared either, and I'm sure you're glad Gary learned his lesson early on, haha.

  24. Such a fun post! I'll co-sign your favorite movies, I could watch Legally Blonde and The Devil Wears Prada over and over and they'll never get old. That first sip of coffee in the morning is heavenly, and yay for all the upcoming travel! And girlll you'll love Portugal! Lisbon was our favorite stop on our trip across the pond a few years ago. It was almost like the European version of San Francisco with a GG Bridge replica (designed by the same architect), lots of hills, and even cable cars <3

  26. This is such a fun post! We are on the same page with movies. Those are my 3 favorite too! I very rarely watch a tv show or movie more than once, but I can (and have!) watched Legally Blonde about 100 times! Happy Wednesday!

  30. I'm with you on the movies.
& yep... that first sip of coffee in the morning... heavenly.
I knew you had to have some sort of seafood in your fav foods ;)

  34. I loved reading this! We have alot of similar answers. I def love sushi and lobster! You really got me wanting to try Frose! I get so emotional watching sappy and/or inspirational videos on Facebook! Also stories about abused/homeless dogs and they end up having a happy ending (I don't even bother putting myself through the sad ones!)

  35. I sooo enjoyed these! OMC you MUST go to Austin! If you like BBQ, that is THE place to see, plus the music/art scene. I think you and Gary would LOVE it! I need to start carrying a portable charger, need to but never do. Like you, I MUST have some sort of makeup with me (mascara, liner, concealer and lipstick) are MUST HAVES!! xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody

  36. I LOVE your favorite movies! The Wedding Planner is definitely in my top three too! I told B that I'll probably be watching that this weekend because he has to work.

Also, that is so funny that you don't like being scared. I'm not a fan of it either, actually. And I HATE being tickled. Brian knows not to tickle me anymore. Haha.

  37. Oh I love this. That first sip of coffee really is good isnt it! I love that living in big cities means you really dont need a car and that a car is more of an inconvenience than a benefit. For me, without a car Id be 100% more stressed but also totally wish I didnt have to drive everywhere ... the struggle. So cute the dating story.

  38. love love love this!! now you have me thinking about getting in bed already and it's only 1:30 LOL

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yay! Loved learning more about you! I need to try your famous frose and luckily I've seen some local restaurants now offer it on their menu. Might become my new favorite brunch drinks. I can imagine how hilarious it is listening to Gary putting on different accents. lol

  40. I loved reading this post! I feel pretty awesome that I knew some of these already, haha! I'm not one to cry easy, but I can't watch movies with animals for some reason, they make me emotional, so Aviah will not be watching Lion King or 101 Dalmatians for a while, lol! That's so funny about Gary scaring you on one of your first dates, haha, poor guy must've thought he blew it, haha! Thanks so much for sharing, girlie; I really enjoyed this post! Happy Wednesday!

  41. I am so with you on the regrets, everything you do leads you to where you are. If I had made different decisions I would not be where I am. And the first sip of coffee, yes!

  42. Ohh I love this post! It's so fun! I may have to play along, too. :) I don't like being scared either. Kyle tried scaring me once and (out of reflex, I swear) I accidently hit him. I didn't give him a black eye or anything, but I definitely shocked him right back, haha!

You definitely need to visit Austin (and let me know if you ever plan on it because we might be able to stop by. My little brother goes to UT.)

  57. Sushi and fries are on the top of my food list as well! I have never had lobster mac n cheese but it would probably be up there too if I had! You are so right about that first sip of coffee being so amazing in the mornings. Its like...oh yeah....that's the stuff!!! I didn't know you guys didn't have a car! Birmingham is sooooooo not a walkable town so it is so weird to me that some cities don't require them.

  58. Love this post and learning more about you. I am with you on the fries, they are my guilty pleasure. I like to consider myself a fry connoisseur. Also, legally blonde is the absolute best, have you ever seen the musical? Hilarious! Have an awesome weekend!
