Happy Monday lovelies! To my friends in Florida, I have been thinking of everyone all weekend & couldn't believe the unexpected turn it took to the west coast. I know my parents were getting annoyed with my constant barrage of questions & making sure they were prepared! Hoping you all are safe!
via
I feel like I blinked & the weekend flew by! We did go see the new Reese Witherspoon movie & it was a total chick flick & I loved every minute! My Saturday was chalk full of wedding day things. We coordinated a really fun wedding at a restaurant - our first time doing it at that type of venue & it was a great experience! Sunday was spent with a friend of mine that was on the verge of giving birth & wouldn't you know right after she got home from lunch she went into labor! We definitely think it was the spicy calamari 😉 I am getting ready to "flip" my closet over to Fall / Winter clothes & wanted to share four of my favorite outwear pieces for this upcoming season! Coats for fall, autumn jackets, what to wear in the fall, coats for fall, jackets for fall
  • Trench Coat || My best investment a couple years ago was a trench coat! I get so much wear out of it because it's big enough that you can layer sweaters underneath and it's classic enough to wear to work! I don't know what it is about a trench coat, but it makes me feel European and instantly chic!
  • Bold Color Coat || I talked about this coat last week for my "fall wishlist" and I'm so excited for the weather to cool off a little bit more to wear this non-stop! I lucked out and found a color that they are no longer making - it's more jade green, so it was on mega sale and in my size which never happens! This is a bit more expensive because it has "thinsulate" which is the same material that is used for sleeping bags, so you know it's warm & somewhat waterproof!
  • Quilted Jacket || So the Burberry quilted jacket is my ultimate quilted jacket dream, but that's not happening any time soon. I had a very jacket similar to the Barbour quilted jacket from Zara, but I've worn it to death, so this is my next fall outwear piece to replace. I feel like the olive color is a little more versatile!
  • Suede Moto Jacket || I've shared this rust suede jacket a couple weeks ago and just think it the best that is a dupe for the BlankNYC moto jacket!

What's your pick for most worn fall outwear piece?

  14. I love that bold color coat! I broke out the jeans, closed toed shoes, and long sleeves today (it's in the 50s this morning!) but we'll be back up to 90+ by the weekend. I'll have to save these great coat choices for ... January? Ha! Hope it gets cooler before then!

  17. That's too funny that your friend went into labor right after the lunch that y'all had together! I can't believe that it's already time for Fall! We've been loving some cooler weather lately in Texas, and I know that it's almost a matter of time before I can take out all my scarves and jackets and boots! I love that suede jacket, and the pop of color is so pretty!

  18. I'm so glad your parents are doing ok. My heart breaks for the people of Florida. We have friends right outside Miami and haven't heard from them since Saturday. So you can imagine how stressful that is. I'm gonna save you some money, that Burberry jacket isn't that warm!! Not only is it not warm, but the wind and rain go right through it. The only thing that Burberry jacket has going for it, is that it is super cute.

  22. These are all so perfect!!! I feel silly investing in much heavy outer wear here in the south, as we really don't get the chance to wear it much. But I do have a few light trench coats I bought several years ago that were fairly inexpensive, and they make my feel instantly chic as well!!! I am obsessed with most anything Michael Kors puts out and I have dreams of one of those quilted jackets as well!! I might add it to my Christmas list this year, since I wont really need it until then with the weather lol

  24. I'm glad your parents are okay! The family we have in Jacksonville had to relocate because their home wasn't built to withstand the storm. I don't know what to say anymore, everyday there's something new to worry about, all we can do is stay hopeful. I just saw the commercial for the movie and was like, um...this woman DOES NOT age! Reese looks amazing! I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, I'll have to check it out when it comes out on Netflix. As for the coats, I love the styles you've mentioned here, all of which I feel are such essentials for the cooler temps. Thanks for sharing, gorgeous, and I hope you're having the best start to your week so far!
