Friday Five | November To Do’s

via

Getting back into the swing of things this week wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend! I have a few November To Do’s that I’d love to get done & really don’t want the month to fly by like other’s have. This is my absolute favorite time of year!

^first cut at the closet^

  • Closet Remodel || Late in the Summer, Gary and I worked with California Closets to create a custom closet in our bedroom. This is just for my closet since Gary uses the closet in the second bedroom for his clothes! I’m excited to have this project completed in the next couple of weeks and can’t wait to share the before and after photos with you! I do have a few closet organization pieces on my list to buy like this closet divider for my clutches and smaller purses and then I need to find a great way to organize my larger bags so that they don’t lose their shape. Some of my bags have dusters that I can stuff them with, but for the others I thought a couple of these inflatable bag shapers would be a good way to go.
  • Order Holiday Cards || I can’t wrap my head around the fact that it’s time to gear up for the holiday’s and the first way I do that is by ordering our holiday cards. Figuring out what photo(s) to use is the hardest part, but I think between our trips this year I have some options. I like to get ours out right after Thanksgiving – so here’s hoping I’m on the ball this month.
  • Pure Barre Classes || I had taken a break from Pure Barre classes for a while, but then the studio that I go to running a great special (6 weeks for $100) which I jumped on and then for Halloween they ran another special ($13 for 13 classes and a year expiration) so I decided to load up on that one as well. These will take me until the end of the year and I hope that in November I can go at least 3 times a week! That’s the goal!
  • Start Holiday Gift Shopping || It seems like we get further on into the season and are left with less time to shop for the holidays. I love that I’m able to do the majority of my shopping online and with easy shipping, but I want to make sure that I’m leaving plenty of time for delivery and my favorite part, wrapping! Usually Gary and I are almost done by Thanksgiving so I’m hoping that we can get a lot of gifts bought by then! I already know this scarfis going to be purchased for a couple of ladies on my list, including myself ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Make an album from Iceland || I am the absolute worst about printing photos of our trips – I’m still working on an album from our trip to Paris and London…that was 3 years ago! I’m just going to forget about those for now and start small with Iceland! Do you have a tip for where I can easily make a photo book? I usually just opt for Shutterfly, but if you have any other ideas I’ll take them!

What’s on your to do list for November?  Are you planning on decorating soon?

Your closet design looks so awesome, I can't wait to see how it turns out. I want to get started on our shopping this month too– we usually wait and it ends up being stressful! I'm hoping to finally tackle a couple of albums from our trips this year too. Your Iceland pictures are all so stunning!

I'm excited for your closet to be finished! Every girl needs a good closet space. I'm so with you. It takes me forever to get around to printing pictures from trips. A couple months ago I made a trip to Michaels and purchased 6 frames for the shelves that hang on my living room walls and I JUST printed the prints last week and finished my frames, hooray! Can you tell me how you create your signature that links back to your blog? I can't seem to figure that one out.

This is my favorite time of year, too! November-December are my faves and then after that, I want to speed right through winter into spring, lol! I canโ€™t wait to see how your closet comes along, I know Iโ€™ll get some ideas for redoing mine, too. Youโ€™ve also given me the push to start designing and ordering our holiday cards, too. I always wait until the last minute or never end up getting around to them. Thanks for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you have a great weekend ahead!

Jealous of your closet!!! I want a pretty designed closet!! That is my goal at my next house, a must! Cant wait to see how yours turned out. I am with you, I am the worst at printing pictures in general. Zoe will be 11 months old tomorrow and other than her school pictures we ordered, I have one photo of her printed from last Christmas. Yikes! Hope you have a great weekend! Get one item knocked off your Christmas list and you will feel better!

My closet could do with some serious organizing! Glad to hear getting back into the swing of things after vacation went pretty smoothly. I always dread that "going back to reality" part after a lovely vacation. You guys all look soo awesome in your winter gear. Thanks for reminding me about Holiday cards!! Have a great weekend pretty lady and get lots of rest! xo

I only use blurb for photo books. I'm obsessed with them. I would love to hear more about your California Closets experience (and cost). I'm thinking we're going to have to do that with the master because it's one of the things that ended up half finished in the remodel and it barely functions. It's SO frustrating.

This is such a good list! Our Christmas cards already are here, and Iโ€™m so glad to have that checked off the list. Iโ€™m jealous of your closet, I bet youโ€™re so excited! And, Iโ€™m horrible about photo books. Iโ€™m considering going back to old school photo albums, or just printing photos and storing them in photo boxes so we can flip through them that way. The books just become such a chore it seems!

I've heard great things about California Closets! I can't believe it's time for holiday cards either. We are thinking about taking our pictures this weekend. I already started my shopping and I'm hoping to have it all done by the end of this month. It maybe wishful thinking but I'm being optimistic. xo, Sierra ~ Beautifully Candid
