Friday Favorites | Already June

Happy Friday friends! I certainly can't believe it's already June and that Summer is basically here! We have a few things planned for the weekend and I'm hoping the weather cooperates since it's very weather dependent!! Here are some favorites from the past week!

Butterfly Conservatory ||

Over the weekend Gary took me to a butterfly conservatory near his parents house while we were visiting them. It was such a fun time & I was amazed at how fearless those little things are just buzzing around! They definitely loved Gary, but it was fun to have a few of them land on my belly!

Recently Watched movies ||

 Recliners & assigned seats is the best way to watch a movie!
The long weekend gave us a good excuse to watch a few movies including Red Sparrow, Deadpool 2 & 15:17 to Paris. Of the three, Deadpool 2 was hilarious! It's definitely not a movie for everyone, but if you like Ryan Reynolds brand of sarcasm and humor then you'll like it! I actually bought our tickets 3 days ahead of time because the movie was continuously sold out! Red Sparrow was way better than anticipated and 15:17 to Paris just fell short for both me and Gary!

NutriBullet Pro ||

We finally traded in our bulky juicer that was such a pain to use and clean for the NutriBullet! After using it for about 6 days, we're both hooked! It's so easy to use, blends everything perfectly and the best part is how easy it is to clean! So far, we've been pretty basic with our smoothie choices, but I'm hoping to come up with some tasty recipes for the summer! One of my favorite smoothie places charges about $10 / smoothie, so considering I make this at home for a fraction of the price, both me and my wallet are happier!

Ikea Brimnes Shelf ||

Over the weekend, Gary (and I helped a bit too) did a lot of work putting together the guest room / nursery. One of the pieces we bought from Ikea was the Brimnes Shelf. It's so slim and perfect for extra storage and I love that we were able to fit everything that once "housed" our office stuff into one shelf with space left over!! It's sort of hidden, behind the door (when it's opened) but every time I see it, I smile. It's the little things!

Lasagna Roll Ups ||

I shared this photo on Insta Stories and got so many messages asking for the recipe. I use a variation of this recipe, but substitute the ground beef for ground turkey. This makes enough for lunch the next day as well!

Hope you have a fantastic weekend friends!

  11. I love that shelf that y'all chose for the extra room/nursery. Ikea has the best stuff! I wish so badly that we had one nearby! We're heading to Atlanta in June and I'm hoping to convince B to make a quick stop there. Although, I guess it's hard to make a "quick" stop at Ikea. Haha.

  12. I have a Nutribullet, too, but I'd love to see some of your smoothie recipes! I'm not creative in the smoothie department, so I just stick with the same recipe I've always made haha!

  13. I was going back and forth on whether I wanted a NutriBullet because I have a Ninja blender and I absolutely love it...but I hate cleaning it!!! This seems so much easier. That shelf you got from Ikea is fabulous! Hope you have a great weekend!

  16. I keep on telling Chris that there's so many good movies coming out this summer that we need to see, and one of them is Deadpool 2! I'm glad that y'all liked it!

  17. Yep - I love my Nutribullet more than my juicer too. I've read a lot to see which is better - juicing or blending & it does make sense that you're getting more of the fruit that goes in the nutribullet where the skin gets peels off in the juicer.

  18. Ummmm that looks so yummy my stomach just growled. I need to get some of those shelves. They are great for storage and look like custom built ins. Love seeing your bump!

  19. We're in need of some shelves in our new house and I can't find anything that fits all the boxes aka not crazy expensive but not cheap material. Definitely going to check the one you mentioned out! & your movie dates look great. I haven't seen a movie in so long it seems--I can't wait to see some of the summer movies coming out, hopefully starting with the next Jurassic World ;) Have a great weekend!

  21. I want to see Deadpool 2. I loved the first movie. I went to Eataly for the first time last weekend. I tried Frose and its SO GOOD! I've already been checking out recipes to make it at home this summer! Have you been to The Patios in city hall plaza where Boston Winter was? I really want to check that out soon!

  25. The butterfly conservatory looks amazing! I love going to them! I really miss going to the movies now that the little one is here. Summer time is the best time to go. When he's a little older we may get a sitter to go see one for a date night, but for now it's Netflix and Redbox. Happy Weekend!

  27. You absolutely have to do something with that photo of the butterfly on your belly! I don't know, maybe frame it and put it in baby girl's nursery. I mean, how beautiful is that it landed right on her!? It's been so long since I've been to a butterfly conservatory. You've inspired me to look into some nearby and bring Aviah, I know she'll love it.

    PS: I have the NutriBullet, too, and juiced nearly everyday during my second trimester. Through in some organic chia seeds, they're so good for you and her! Also, have you tried Belly Buds? I got them at Buy Buy Baby, but I believe they sell them on Amazon, too. I would hook it to my phone and play classical music via YouTube on it for at least an hour a day for her. Of course you don't put the phone near your belly, the cords are long enough for you to put the phone on a nearby table. I highly suggest, classical music has been shown to be linked to a higher IQ and development. I still play it for her every chance I get!

    Thanks for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you have a great weekend!

  32. I would love to visit a butterfly conservatory. Love the colors of the butterflies that were hanging out on Gary's shirt. They sure did love him lol. Your smoothie sounds delicious and definitely a money saver to make at home! I can't believe how much they charge for a smoothie these days. Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis

  33. All those butterflies are beautiful!! I had to laugh when I saw how they were gravitating to Gary on your IG stories!! Absolutely incredible. You just reminded me that I think we have a bullet at the office that was gifted to my husband two years ago... that still is in the box. Maybe that's how I can survive summer... with smoothies!! Those lasagna roll ups look delicious... but maybe for winter. (can you tell I'm already over the summer heat?!)
