My Favorite Items to Stay Organized and Reduce Clutter

It seems like the world has been taken over by Marie Kondo and asking yourself if an item “sparks joy” for you. As someone who absolutely loves organization, I get the obsession, but this is less about de-cluttering and more about organizing some of my messier things! While I have started to toss things that are unused and don’t serve a purpose, I’ve also found really great organization pieces to keep the mess looking tidy!

  • Gift Wrap Organizer || All those fun and beautiful gift wrapping rolls that I have are no longer under my bed, but instead they are neatly packed away in this gift wrap organizer, that can hold up to 25 rolls!
  • Food Container Lid Organizer || I can’t tell you how many times I’ve opened up our cabinet only to have lids come flying at me from our plastic containers. Now all the lids have a place and everything is neatly stacked!
  • Oxo Tot Drying Rack || We have a ton of bottles at the house for Sophia and now that we’re feeding her cereal and some pureed foods, her dishes are starting to pile up and our orginal “grass” drying rack started to over flow. I like that this has it’s own space for spoons, bottles and other bottle parts!
  • Battery Organizer || Super random, but we have a ton of batteries. This little case also comes with a battery tester and holds up to 93 different size batteries.
  • Fabric Storage Bins || Sophia’s toys were all over the living room and I needed a way to separate them, so I found these cute little storage bins that went with our decor and throw all the toys in there after she goes to bed. They’re cheap and functional.
  • Storage Ottoman || We have had this storage ottoman in our living room for at least 4 years! We store a few extra throw blankets, my workout weights & jump rope. It also doubles as an extra seat near our couch when we have company.
  • Space Saver Bags || I’m somewhat obsessed with these space saver bags. I used them for my maternity clothes and also for Sophia’s clothes that she’s already grown out of. We have guests sheets and extra pillows in one of them as well. Considering we only have two real closets and one storage / utility space inside our condo, this helps keep bulkier items in tight spaces!
  • Spice Containers || I have Karly to thank for this one! I have wanted to have all my spices organized ever since we put in our spice drawer. There is something very satisfying about having all the spices look the same. I also like these containers because you can either pour or sift the spice out!

Along with all of the above, we also keep the boxes for all of Sophia’s bigger items like swings & bouncers. Once she’s outgrown something, we slip it back in the box and put it away in storage! Things I have yet to figure out how to declutter and organizer…all my bags and shoes! Any ideas welcome! What are some of your favorite ways to reduce clutter and organize?

The Today Show shared that battery organizer yesterday and I thought it was the neatest because it can also check to make sure the battery is still good! They had a great segment on home organization, which I loved because I do not do clutter in my house haha!

My mom needs the lid organizer lol When I'm at their house I got crazy trying to find the matching tupperware. I'm a huge fan of the space saver bags myself although after catching one episode of MK's new series, I've been donating/throwing out old clothes to decrease those bags!

OK – that food lid organizer is pretty awesome. I try so many ways to make my lids stay in place & organized & never fails – they fall out of the cabinet every time I open it

Oh boy, organizing products make me so happy! That lid organizer seems awesome – I so wish I had space for that! And I will definitely be purchasing that gift wrap bag sometime down the road – mine are in a tub, but it's not super convenient and there are even a few that are just a bit too big to fit in there…which defeats the whole attempt at trying to corral everything together!

Thanks for the shout out, friend! Aren't those spice jars just the best? I'm so weirdly satisfied every time I open our spice drawer now, lol. That gift wrap storage is great, too – adding that to my list!

Just you wait til baby girl is digging through your storage container cabinet. I need that lid organizer but don’t know if it will do me any good or not since Zoe tears apart the cabinet on a daily basis. She has figured out every single child safety lock. Love that ottoman and gift wrap storage! Way better than our plastic bin.

Girrrrl, these are all things I didn't know I needed, haha! In recent years, I've really gotten into gift wrapping. HomeGoods started my love, they have the CUTEST wrapping paper ever! So, I need that caddy to keep them all in one place and from getting dirty and ripped. I also need that lid holder b/c right now, I have them all randomly thrown in my cabinet and it's pretty embarrassing if you open it up, lol. Thanks for sharing these. I would've never have thought to purchase these, but I'd definitely use them! PS: I hope you're feeling better! I swear by the vitamin D3!
