My Thoughts on Celery Juicing

Well, my month of drinking celery juice is up and honestly there was a reason I decided on February as the month for this, it was not my favorite at the start, but then around mid month I was really feeling it. First getting into the why drinking celery juice on its own is a good idea. Some of the benefits  according to medical medium Anthony William include:

  • Lowers inflammation and reduces bloating
  • Helps support weight loss
  • Aids in digestion
  • Fights infections

So why did I do it? I wanted to see if I could put my mind to something and do it even though I wasn’t a fan of celery and especially not celery juice. I didn’t go into this hoping to lose weight or really even thinking it would make a difference in my health at all. You’re supposed to drink at least 16 oz. of the juice on it’s own not mixed with anything, but maybe it was the Ninja that we used, I needed water to help it blend better. I also added a dash of salt because the taste on it’s own just wasn’t appetizing to me first thing in the morning. You’re also supposed to do this on an empty stomach before eating anything, but eat breakfast a little after since it’s not giving you many calories at all.

I didn’t drink celery juice for all 29 days, I really only did it during the week and between 3-5 days with the average being 4. The prep was really easy and I would have it ready to go for the morning so that I could drink it while getting ready.

They say a habit forms after 21 days of doing it and there’s definitely truth to that because I’m still drinking celery juice in the mornings! What results did I have? Well I certainly felt like my stomach was less bloated, my clothes fit a bit looser and I felt really good throughout the month. It felt like a really good reset for my body and even though I’m not going to be tracking it going forward, I’m happy to have formed a habit that is healthy and that gives me a nice little immunity boost! I also have my mom to thank for February’s challenge going according to plan because she has been on the celery juice train for last three months, seeing incredible results (including pain her hands going away) and urged me to try it for a nice reset!

Have you tried celery juice? Do you think you would do a month challenge?

I always wondered about drinking it, but I thought you had to use a fancy juicer. I have a bullet, too – I am going to have to give it a try!

That one scares me… I've heard too many upset stomach stories about celery juice for my liking. I have an UBER sensitive stomach anyways – but glad its become a habit for you.

That's amazing you were able to do this. I don't like celery in general so I don't think I could do it as a juice, but I won't say I'd never try it šŸ™‚

I've been waiting for this post! I've been seeing celery juicing everywhere lately so I was excited to see your opinions about it. How crazy that your mom is experiencing less pain in her hands because of it!! I guess the lower inflammation thing must be true!

I've heard a lot about the benefits of celery juicing, but I've never tried it myself. I may need to think about it in terms of reducing bloating!

It sounds like this is really working for you and your mom. I am not sure if I could drink celery juice first thing in the morning, I am so sensitive about what I eat when I eat breakfast…but I am intrigued and want to check it out!

I have to hand it to you, especially since you said you're not a massive fan of celery to begin with!! I will skip this because I definitely am not a fan of celery!! Maybe it could be done with cucumbers instead? Hehe

Was impressed with your monthly challenges. It is not easy to keep up with it though. There were so many different things that you planned to do. It is inspiring. Celery juice challenge is something I thought I must try at least for the health benefit. I'm thinking about other habits I would love to pickup.
