Weekend Happenings

Weekending

Hello again!!! Monday already…how fast did that happen?! We lucked out with weather this weekend and tried to do our best to be outside!! Our weekend started out pretty lazy after a really long week. We watched Heaven Is For Real – maybe it was the wine, but I could not stop crying!

I’m not sure if you all have seen or even read the book, but the little boy that plays the part of Colton, is so adorable and so believable! Regardless of your thoughts on religion – it does prompt some great conversation!

After a quick run on Saturday I went to get some much needed TLC for my hair. I bought a Gilt deal for Roffi Salon and Day Spa. The deal included a cut, blow dry, scalp treatment and shine glaze. It was my first time getting both the scalp treatment & glaze, but on day two my hair which usually falls fairly fast wasn’t oily and kept the curl from the previous night.

{via}

This is clearly not me – but I love the long layers that Veronika always has & with just a little more length it’s my ideal cut! For my local ladies – Maria did my hair and she was awesome! I think I may have frightened her because I kept saying “just an inch” and at the end she’s was certain she hand’t cut anything.  I think I may have finally found my stylist after five years of bouncing around to different salons!!

Total fail because not only can you not see the layers, but this was my best attempt at a OOTN selfie…give so much credit to fashion bloggers!

+Taking the new statement necklace out for a spin on a date night

+The most delicious Lobster Ravioli I’ve ever tasted at Panza in the North End

+Old North Church

Madonna della Cava Summer Feast in the North End and no trip to the North End is complete without a cannoli!

Lunch with a view on Sunday! Just as a side note – Sweet Green makes one of the best Kale Caesar salads ever!

Gary feeding some very hungry ducks at the esplanade!

And coming up on the blog this week a jewelry review and a delicious new recipe!!

I’ve been pinning a lot of quotes recently and this one seems to be appropriate for a Monday!!

Hope you’ll share your weekend happenings with me and Meghan!!

    We are very similar about our hair. Mine always takes off too much then I wait to long in between cuts to let it grow. Yours came out great. That salad looks so good. The weather was perfect this weekend glad you got out to enjoy it!
