October | How do you do?

It feels like just yesterday I was sitting down to figure out what I wanted to accomplish in Septemberand now here we are at the start of October doing it all over again. I really liked being able to see what I was focusing on and actually getting things accomplished! So let’s see how I did in September!

1// Attend 3-4 bar method classes per week! Pass!! I attended 3 classes week 1,3, & 4 and week 2 & week 5 (this week) totaling 4. I plan on doing a full post comparing Pure Barre & Bar Method, so stay tuned for that!

2// Print out and organize our honeymoon & Euro trip photos. Half Pass...I finished our honeymoon photos and plan on ordering our Paris & London photos in the next few weeks!! I will say looking through our photos has been so much fun!

3// Drink more water. Half Pass...I started drinking more water throughout the day, but still don’t feel like I drink enough. I’ve added lemon and other things to try to add a little flavor, but still stuck with about 60 oz of water each day.

4// Find a new nighttime moisturizer and eye cream. Pass! Glad to check this one off the list and you can read about my find here

5// Finish the bar cart. Pass! If it feels like I’ve been talking about this for month’s that because I have. We (mostly Gary since he put it together) finished the cart at the start of the month and have just been adding little touches to it when I find something cute that would go well with it.

Paper Straws via Pier One

If you’re interested in a more detailed post about putting it together/materials used, I’d be happy to do that!! If you’re not but still want to attempt this on your own – we used this DIY link and ordered all the materials in Chrome instead of Gold.

Now onto my October Goals!!

1// Clean and sell my wedding dress. I’m so embarrassed that a year and half later I still haven’t done anything with my wedding dress. It was hanging at my sister’s house and I finally made it a point to bring it to our house so that I could sell it!! If any of you have tips on how you sold your dress, I’d love to hear it!

Gone Girl

2// Read a book. Since my commute to work has gotten shorter, I’ve really struggled with getting any books read. Even though I may be the last person on the planet to read this book, I’m not allowed to see the movie until this happens. Also, if you have any book recommendations, let me know!!

{via}

3// Do one fashion post or one vlog…bonus points if both are done! It’s been on my blog to-do list for quite some time and I am really excited to take myself out of my writing comfort zone.

4// I’ve already shared myFall Bucket Listand can already knock making an Apple Pie off that one! Hopefully we’re going to make a big dent in our Fall To-do’s in the month of October.

5//Keep the little purchases in check. What I’m really guilty of is going into CVS and getting a nail polish just because or another mascara for no reason. This month there will be none of that! I’m pretty good about not spending money on little things, but I think doing this for 5 weeks will leave me with a little more to spend on stuff I actually want!

I’m still going to work on drinking more water – this will probably be a monthly battle! Do you have anything on your October goal list?

Yay!!! Congrats on passing most of your September goals! I need to drink more water too… I'm so bad about that. You definitely need to read Gone Girl… it's crazy! From the previews the movie looks really good but I'm curious how it will actually be. And I'm SO excited you're going to start doing a fashion post/vlog monthly! Yay! Um, your hair is even prettier than Rach's and she (usually) has extensions in to make hers look that good! Now I need to make an October goal list!

Congratulations on meeting most of your goals! I love this idea, it's a great way to keep yourself accountable for what you want to achieve. And Gone Girl is so good! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the movie soon.

Congrats! I need to sit down and set some goals for the month. I tend to just jot down way too many things and make lists and it just gets overwhelming. Your selling your dress!? My mom won't let me lol! I thought of actually donating it , but she protested what if you have a daughter? Which now I do, but I highly doubt she will want to wear my dress and not choose her own. I do like the idea of incorporating a piece of the gown into a new one though so I'm torn about selling it. XO

if you think what you didn't do with your dress is bad: i hung my wedding dress in my closet after my wedding saying that i'd dry clean it and package it up……it's STILL in there TEN YEARS LATER LOLOLOLOLOL. i'm even afraid to open that side of the closet because it's probably turned into a potato sack by now!

How fun! Good for you for almost accomplishing all your goals – I'm jealous! Your bar cart seriously looks awesome. I can't believe you're going to sell your wedding dress – I admire you for that! I know it just hangs there, but I don't think I could ever part with mine. I'm hoping someday in my dream home I can display it somehow in my closet/getting ready room. 🙂

You should definitely do a fashion post every week too! I love reading other people's fashion posts and its fun. 🙂 I just dry cleaned my wedding dress and now it's hanging in my closet. So crazy, just yesterday I was thinking about how I should look into selling my wedding dress too! I haven't cleaned or done anything to it since the wedding either so don't feel bad! I'm excited for your post on the different barre classes, as I'm still undecided between the two!

Hey, you're doing really well with goals so I'm impressed! I keep a huge Tervis with lid and straw at my desk and fill it all day with water. Congrats and striking stuff off the list! I can't wait to read your comparisons of the two different barre classes. For hydration I keep a Tervis Tumbler on my desk (or my 33oz Camelbak on barre days) and I log it all in Waterlogged. I have Gone Girll on my list to read, I haven't gotten around to it yet. I have been reading the Stephanie Plum series and enjoying it. There are 21 books though, so it is a big undertaking. I would recommend Attachments. It was a light easy read, but very enjoyable.

Good job on your September goals!! Do you like seltzer water? That helps me with my water drinking a lot. Since it's fizzy and comes out of a can it kind of tricks me into thinking it's a soda but I get some more water. Gone Girl is so good- you will love it!
