On the eve of Thanksgiving

I think with everything that is happening in the world and in our own backyards, there is so much to be thankful for and I for one will always take the opportunity to list out my gratefulness for a few of these priceless things.

1// Health – truly there is nothing more important than being healthy because without it I wouldn’t be able to enjoy all of life’s other gifts!

2//My loving husband – without a doubt my better half and I’m so proud to have him by my side through life

3//My wonderful family – I don’t get to see my parents or family enough – but even if I saw them every week it still wouldn’t be enough…which is why we talk about three times a day…that’s normal right?!

4// Work – I will never take for granted the ability to work and have a job. It may not be a career yet, but I’m getting there

5// This creative space– It took me a long time to get this blog off the ground and I’m so thankful that I have this creative outlet!! It’s led to friendships that I feel like I’ve had my entire life and “meeting” so many wonderful people!!

One other piece of thankfulness comes from this blog and the opportunities that I’ve been given to write on the topic I love most – WEDDINGS!! My post on Wedding Party is live today and I’m talking about escort cards!! This was one of my favorite little details from the wedding!! Gary found a cow, fish and carrot so that I could copy them into the document that would create the escort cards. It was a little detail that really helped the staff figure out what each person was eating! And if you’re wondering what the names below the guests names are – well we names all the tables after our favorite places in Boston!

Here are some other favorites from the post!

Everything else – well that’s a bonus!! What are you thankful for?

As many of your are travelling for Thanksgiving, I hope you drive, fly and travel safe!! For those of you that are staying put – lucky!!! I’ll be taking a mini break starting tomorrow and back on Monday for a huge weekending post!! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy all the food!!

xo,

Love the ideas for the place cards. I am thankful for only having to go as far as the North Shore to be with family. So much to be thankful for this year and every year.

Love your list! Health is definitely the most important thing, whenever things seem rough I'm always thankful that my H and I and our families have our health.

Congrats on your Wedding Party post! Love unique escort cards/table number ideas. We skipped table numbers and did table numbers of the places we've been together, and used post cards from the locations as the escort cards. The guests were blown away by all the places we had traveled together (cruises helped a lot)!

Happy Thanksgiving and I could not agree with you more on your list of things to be thankful for! Good health is truly a gift, so as long as you and your loved ones are in good health, you have much to be thankful for! And I love those escort card options! For my wedding I chose little signs adorned with crystals and hung them from a tree since I had an outdoor wedding. I'm loving these beautiful and creative options you featured, though – makes me want to plan a party that requires assigned seating!

I couldn't agree more with everything you posted! I try so hard not to take my health, our jobs (especially since we were just reminded how valuable work really is not too long ago) and family for granted. Thank heavens for holidays like these to bring everything back in perspective!

Such a great list! Almost a year ago, we moved 4000km away from friends and family and it's really made me appreciate them more than ever. It was so easy to take them for granted when I could see them whenever I wanted, but now the time we make for each other is always special 🙂
